The Streambox HD/SD Hybrid Software Encoder designed for Apple and Windows notebook gives users the ability to deliver high quality HD and SD video from the field. All it takes is a Mac/PC laptop or desktop, a camera, and a SDI or HDMI input device such as Matrox, AJA, or Black Magic to capture video.

The HD/SD Hybrid Software Encoder works with all available networks to bring video in the “first mile.” It delivers the video directly to a Streambox De-coder, Enterprise Server, or the Stream-box Live Service to complete the “last mile.”

The HD/SD Hybrid Software Enco-der with LDMP networking supports 3G/4G, Wi-Fi, SNG and Internet provi-ding users with efficient, reliable trans-mission of video from the field over all of those networks.

Advanced Streaming Codec & Streambox LDMP Technology

The HD/SD Hybrid Software Encoder offers many applications: it can be deplo-yed in the field for newsgathering, link re-mote facilities in the case of post pro-duction, connect multi-site campuses for schools and houses of worship, or be em-ployed for live event streaming. The Hybrid Software Encoder can also bond multiple network interfaces such as LTE and 3G/4G air cards, Wi-Fi, dual BGAN terminals, and DSL lines for increased bandwidth.

All Streambox products are powered by our proprietary codec: Advanced Compression Technology – Level 3 (ACT-L3). Streambox ACT-L3 compression allows for faster enco-ding with lower latency and is optimized for video transmission over any low-bandwidth IP connection. Our proprietary codec is capable of compressing higher motion, complex video at lower data rates using the new advanced motion search feature.

All Streambox products come equipped with Streambox exclusive Low Delay Mul-ti-Path technology (LDMP). Streambox LDMP protocol allows for low latency adaptive bit-rate streaming over public and private networks. Streambox Encoders will automati-cally select the best possible bandwidth, latency, and resolution over multiple IP networ-ks, thus allowing Streambox products to gracefully handle network bandwidth fluctua-tions and dropouts, which are often seen over public or shared network environments.
