CURION VENTURES - NET LAKE PROJECT

NET LAKE ARENA ANOMALY

Introduction:

As follow up to a partially covered HLEM anomaly (March 1997 survey) on the northwest boundary of the Net Lake Property a 4.0 km grid was established and the anomaly was fully covered reading 3 frequencies 440, 1760 and 14,080 Hz.

The purpose of the survey was to delineate the anomaly for drilling purposes since there is also a very interesting circular magnetic high centered over 600 N at 2100 W.

Status of Adjoining Claims:

Due to the proximity of the anomaly (on boundary) the status of the adjoining property becomes important (TV purposes). D. Laronde researched the claims one afternoon in North Bay at Land Registry and at the Ministry of Natural Resources. 2 of the parcel numbers were researched for owners and transactions.

The claims are patented claims and over water, licenses of occupation. This land tenure was turned over to the province of Ontario from the original owner in 1968 (Lanfear Norrie) from New York. The land is now under provincial jurisdiction (Ontario Real Estate Corp.) and for some reason did not come open to staking when all the other old patents came open over the past 3 years. These parcels of land (mining claims) .had "fell through the cracks" somehow and were overlooked. MNDM says it would take at least until June l, 1999 for this land to be opened up for staking. We could initiate and possibly speed up the red tape process by having the municipality of Temagami request that these lands be opened up for staking.

Results of HLEM Survey:

The survey detected 2 anomalies that trend more or less NW consistent with the local faulting trend . The anomalies are weak responses that are visible on all channels read; 440, 1760 and 14,080 Hz. The 2 anomalies A and B are off-set which could be the result of north trending faulting. Also, there may be some influence on the results caused by the lake bottom topography and conductive sediments.

Page 3: STRATHY 2 . 18406

Conclusions and Recommendations:

The results of the HLEM conclude that there is no massive conductive mineralization near surface, rather the nature of mineralization associated with this kind of signature could be stringer mineralization which is weakly conductive, hence the weak responses. Should this be the case then a line of induced polarization would do a more conclusive job in detecting a somewhat disseminated target such as stringer mineralization.

The anomaly remains intriguing by virtue of the coincident circular magnetic high which has 2000+ gamma high intensity. This shape and intensity is indicative of kimberlite. On a bigger scale (1965 Regional Airborne Magnetic survey) this high is at the "nose" of a duck's head shaped response (see Fig 1). The significance of this is that the Norrie Cu-Ni occurrence is on the edge of this feature as is the magnetic high and Conductors A and B.

Further work:

Drilling of the magnetic high and the conductors is warranted in search for 1. Cu-Ni mineralization and 2. Kimberlite. The drilling should follow one line of I.P. on L 2100 W. Both the base metal and kimberlite target can be tested with one hole.

Note: Di-pole electrodes for the I.P. should rest on the lake bottom.

Could notify you when an I.P. crew is in Temagami to save mobilization charges.

Regards,

Dave Laronde
