The main goal of the Business for Climate high-level business breakfast is to discuss the
COP21 commitments and their impact on business. We have an honour to welcome
Roland Hunzinker from World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) as
the key note speaker.
During the Business for Climate event, the first analysis on the Polish market showing
operating costs of commercial office buildings, based on actual media consumption, will be
presented.
"Operating costs" is a project created as a continuation of a report "Analysis of the
sustainable construction market in Poland", initiated by the Construction Marketing
Group (CMG) in 2013. The project is an attempt to assess the current situation of the
commercial office sector in Poland in terms of operating costs by compering certified and
not certified investments. The data from 52 commercial office buildings has been collected
and analysed by some of the largest players in the market: BuroHappold Engineering,
Skanska, Cushman&Wakefield, Knight Frank, Colliers International, Savills, IBC, NAPE. SPIE
Polska is the coordinator of the project. The project has been supported by the EEB
Platform Poland and World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).
The guests invited to attend the Business for Climate high-level business breakfast will
have a unique opportunity as the very first stakeholders in the market to see this data and
to take part in the discussion about its trends and meanings.
Business for Climate high-level business breakfast will be organised in cooperation with
the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) which is a month-long series of activities
to build a secure energy future for Europe. It brings together public authorities, private
companies, NGOs and consumers to promote initiatives to save energy and move towards
renewables for clean, secure and efficient power. Launched in 2006 by the European
Commission, the EUSEW is organised by the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized
Enterprises (EASME) in close cooperation with Directorate-General for Energy
