education institution amongst thousands of parents in India. l  Started by Late Sri Madiyala Narayan Bhat with Bhagawan Sri

Sathya Sai Baba being the sole trustee l  Has been a center for character development with academic

excellence for more than five decades. l  The fee charged for tuition & boarding at Alike is a fraction of

what some of the modern day institutions charge, with the sole intention of making character building education affordable for all.

About CoSS l  With blessings of Bhagawan Baba, the association

of the old students of Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Educational Institutions, with name 'Children of Sathya Sai" was formally inaugurated in 2001.

l  Our guiding principle - the up-liftment of the society

along with one's own spiritual progress 'Atma Kalyana and Loka Kalyana' which was the cherished ideal of Rev. Madiyala Narayan Bhat (Rev. Anna) of hallowed memory.

CoSS

l  The members of CoSS will help to the extent possible, poor and the downtrodden with regard to their education and health.

l  The association has to provide succor to the helpless and the needy.

l  They also decided that they would uphold preserve the noble values of the glorious Indian Culture as expounded by Bhagawan Baba by precept and practice

The Problem Lack of well-defined facility to properly dispose sewage water generated at the institution leading to the following risks:

q  Groundwater contamination q  Disease outbreak resulting in serious health risks q  Habitat destruction q  Air quality due to toxic chemicals generated

It is the need of the hour for Alike campus to have a proper sewage water disposal facility.

The Solution l  After a careful evaluation by a technical team lead

by Sri Basavana Gouda, Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is being planned.

l  Sewage treatment is a process & household sewage by physical, chemical or biological or electrolytic processes to produce an environmentally-safe disposal or reuse of waste.

l  The work has already begun to get the civil infrastructure ready to implement the solution

Why should I help?

•  This project is taken up as a CoSS initiative (Alike staff have not asked for this)

•  This initiative because its the need of hour at Alike. This is the least we can do to ensure health & safety of students & staff at Alike.
