Things to observe in a Meat Shop

• Food , water and shelter facility available to animals .• Animal shall not be kept in adverse conditions like direct sunlight ,

dust , rains etc• Animal shall be in good health .• Animal toes and feather should not be damaged .• No children below age on 18years shall be working – CHILD

LABOUR• No animal should be slaughtered in front of other animals .• Premises and nearby surrounding shall be clean and hygienic• Animals are not harshly tied up .• Animals are not in stressed conditions.• Fearless and healthy atmosphere must be there , where animals

have been kept.

• Carcasses shall not be visible from outside• There is no stinking from the meat shop.• Valid license must be displayed at shops.• Meat shops shall not sell any other food products for which the

license has been granted .• Meat shops should be 100meter away from religious place , located

away from the vegetable and food markets.• Meat shop must be painted and free from corrosion . Equipment's

used in meat shop must be made up of stainless steel .• Meat shop staff should be healthy . There shall be no visible

symptoms of illness like chronic cough , open injuries on hands.• Meat staff must wear apron while operating business .
