Dress CodeDress and appearance are matters of

individual taste and responsibility. Studentsshould dress appropriately for school. We areaware of the importance fashion and peerapproval have on what students choose to wear. Sometimes these conflict with health and well-being. We encourage parents to assist theirchildren in making smart choices for theircomfort and health. Middle School:

Administration reserves the right todecide what is or is not appropriate. Modesty indress is also required. Therefore, any clothingwhich would become a distraction to theeducational atmosphere is prohibited. To reducethe number of judgement calls, we are definingappropriate attire to include the following: no sleeveless (tank tops/spaghetti straps),

low-cut shirts, or midriff tops the length of shorts/skirts must extend

beyond fingertips when hands are held atthe sides

low-rise jeans may only be worn with topsthat completely cover the midriff

no pants that drag on the ground or hangbelow the waist

shirts with suggestive logos are prohibited no lounge wear (pajama type) bottoms

except Stone Bank Spirit Wear no wearing of hats or bandanas in the

school building tights/leggings may be worn only with

tunic length tops or with approved shortsor skirts worn over them

Parents may be called at home or at work to bringin alternate clothing for students who are dressedinappropriately.
