St.Michael

• St. Michael is one of the principal angels; his name was the war-cry of the good angels in the battle fought in heaven against the enemy and his followers.

• St. Michael is an archangel in Jewish, Christian, and Islamic tradition. He is viewed as the field commander of the Army of God. He is mentioned by name in the Book of Daniel, the Book of Jude, and the Book of Revelation.

• In the book of Daniel, Michael appears as "one of the chief princes" who in Daniel's vision comes to Gabriel's aid in his contest with the angel of Persia.

• Michael means "who is like God"

How did St.Michael become a saint

• St. Michael was created by God as an angel and a saint long before the universe even existed.Yes, for thousands, maybe billions of years, Saint Michael the archangel had nothing to do at all. He spent the most of his time sharpening his sword and polishing his shield. He needed these weapons because he knew God's favorite archangel Lucifer was going to turn on all of the host of heaven.

Why was there a war in heaven

• There was a war in heaven because Lucifer betrayed God and

tried to overthrow him. So Michael tried to stop him so all good angels and bad angels went to war in heaven.

• St.Michael became a saint by defeating Satan "the Devil" and casting him out of hell, after Satan or "Lucifer" went against God and tried to overthrow him and take over heaven.
