Prevent transmission of pathogens. All of hospitalized patients. Blood borne and moist body substance. Guidelines for hand washing. Gloves ,masks ,eye protection ,gowns ,soiled linen ,needles disposal ,sharp objects disposal. Resuscitation devices. Protect healthcare professionals from HIV and HBV

Most important and frequent.- Direct contact transmission - MRD bacteria , Cl.Difficile ,RSV, Scabies, impetigo ,chickenpox ,viral hemorragic fevers.- Private room beside the standard precautions . -Wear gloves and change them immediately before leaving the room ,wash hands.- Gown.- Indirect contact transmission

A form of contact transmission.Droplet Precautions are used for particles that arelarger than 5 micrometer in diameter.Coughing ,sneezing ,and talking.Suctioning and bronchoscopy.Meningococci ,MDR pneumococci ,and influenzae.Standard precaution +privateroom.Can share room with another pt with thes amepathogen.No need for air ventilation filtration.Masks if within 3 feet from the patient

(A) The wrist of one glove is grasped with the opposite gloved hand. (B) The glove is pulled inside out, over, and off the hand. (C) With the first glove held in the gloved hand, the fingers of the nongloved hand are slipped under the wrist of the remaining glove without touching the exterior surfaces.

(D) The glove is then pulled inside out over the hand so that the first glove lies within thesecond glove, with no exterior glove surfaces exposed. (E) Contaminated gloves ready to be placed into the proper biohazardous waste receptacle
