Look through magazines, on the internet, etc. to find a snowy landscape photograph.After you choose a photo: Draw the basic layout of your landscape onto large heavy watercolor paper lightly in pencil.Add or change details as needed.

Choose blues or purples with white (tints) to paint your background.Do not worry about details at this point! Paint your sky, snow, and cast shadows.Let it dry overnight.

Add details with charcoal pencils. You can blend the charcoal with your finger or with a tortillion (blending stump made of rolled paper)
