You typically have two payment options: Pay your tuition, fees, and uncovered tuition costs in full, or Contact the Bursar to determine if you are eligible to enter into a payment plan. *Fees not covered by MC include, but are not limited to: housing, student recreation fee, meal plan, health fee, course or lab fees, book charges, parking fees, etc. **Tuition costs not covered by MC include, but are not limited to: All or part of the UofL online course tuition and undergraduate tuition which is charged at a rate higher than the resident per credit hour course fee, etc. AFTER YOU BEGIN EMPLOYMENT Complete Employment Verification to Confirm Eligibility to Receive MC Benefits Go to verify.metro-college.com/ and enter the requested information. Employment verification will be completed within 5 business days. You may check your MyMC Page login status within 1-2 days after completion of the form. Complete the Student Transition Program (STP) Go to metro-college.com/mymc > Enter your login information > Select STP under CAPP Requirements. New students ONLY must complete this online set of modules to provide an overall understanding of MC benefits and campus resources. Note: Employment verification must be completed to gain access to the MyMC Page to complete the STP. Sign the MC Student Agreement All checklist items must be complete to sign your student agreement at any of the MC on-campus offices. New MC students must visit the office Monday – Thursday, 9AM – 12PM to sign the first agreement. Arrival after 12PM will result in longer wait times. Notify your academic advisor that you are, or plan to be, a MC participant.

Start working at UPS as soon as possible to give your body time to adjust to your new schedule. If you can’t start working

at UPS in the summer, start following your fall schedule during the summer.

Register for afternoon classes. MC students recommend starting no earlier than 1pm.

Explore the MC-Themed housing to live with other students who share the same schedule as you! You can learn more at

the Breakout Session or contact Chelsea Wightman at 852-2121, or visit louisville.edu/housing/options/llc/metro.

Get familiar with campus resources at the beginning of the semester (REACH, advising, Disability Resource Center,

Campus Health, etc.). Don’t wait until it’s too late!

Register for 10 hours or less for your first semester as an MC student (Ex: GEN 100/101 + 9 credit hours).

*Beginning Fall 2019, students who sign their first MC agreement and adhere to part-time enrollment recommendations of 10 credit hours or less, will be eligible for payment for courses completed with a D grade during the first agreement semester only. **Financial aid awards may be affected by part-time enrollment, including KEES, scholarships, and other federal and state aid.

Contact a Student Development Counselor to review your options for complying with MC’s first-time student credit hour limitation.

Review your bill in July. Have a plan on how your fees will be taken care of. Check out the financial aid worksheet to plug

in your information here: metro-college.com/get-started/fafsa-tips.

Limit your employment to your UPS position at least through the first semester.

Heard about 15 to Finish? Here’s an example of how many hours to enroll each semester in your first year with MC and still complete 30 credit hours per year towards on-time graduation. Then you can enroll full-time beginning Fall 2020. Fall 2019: 10 hours Spring 2020: 12-15 hours Summer 2020: 6-9 hours

Create an academic plan with your advisor that includes enrollment in the summer. Think about taking a class this summer

to get started! MC will pay for summer classes at UL or at JCTC as a visiting student.

Sign up for the MC Cohort GEN 101 course. This class runs for the first 8 weeks of the semester for MC students only:
