Content should be positioned consistently on each slide, as much as possible. Utilizing the template’s layouts will help with this, but the Size and Position features of PowerPoint should also be used, as needed.

How to Do ThisA short YouTube video provides an excellent demonstration of ensuring text and objects are positioned consistently across slides, to avoid a “jumping” effect.

Before using the Course Enrollment (CE) Simulator, you can view your course—as it will appear when published—by publishing locally in Presenter.

Note: Publishing locally will usually show the course exactly as it will appear in Saba. However, the CE Simulator is specifically designed to do this.

Overview

Functionality of quiz feedback should tested.

QuizzesCorrect, Incomplete, Retry, and Incorrect feedback should be tested—ideally in this order.

1.Confirm that the Correct answer feedback fires. 2.Refresh the published course (press F5 in the Explorer window containing the published presentation) and ensure that the Incomplete feedback, Retry feedback (if learners are given more than one try on a question) and Incorrect feedback fire.

If quiz feedback does not appear, try this workaround.

All hyperlinks, whether to slides within the presentation or content or websites elsewhere, need to be tested.

HyperlinksSometimes hyperlinks—including mouseovers—will work when previewed in PowerPoint but not when published in Presenter. It’s important to confirm all links work when published from Presenter.

Important: Avoid deleting slides, as this can cause links to break. If you need to delete slides, a safer approach is to first move such slides to the very end of the presentation and then delete them.

A course previewed from PowerPoint may look fine, but it can look different when published from Presenter. Examples include:

• Paragraphs not aligning correctly – workaround• Bulleted lists not aligning correctly – workaround

Publishing locally from Presenter will reveal such issues so they can be fixed prior to uploading the course to SharePoint and using the CE Simulator.
