Stepping Into Internship Program - Position DescriptionThe Australian Network on Disability’s Stepping Into program is a paid internship scheme that matches talented university students with disability with roles in leading Australian businesses.

Minimum of 152 hours, or 4 weeks full-time equivalent
Position Overview
Product & Innovation
PE Interns work within Product Engineering delivery teams as part of either the Software Engineering craft or the Delivery craft.
Their role is experience Product Engineering’s ways of working, help the teams to deliver.
As part of delivery teams Interns will work closely with Software engineers, Solution leads, BAs, Quality Analysts, Delivery Leads and business stakeholders.
Over the period the Intern is with us they will take an active part in day to day project work, their contribution will be part of work that will ultimately end up in production for one of our products.
Interns will be active parts of the delivery teams and will be expected to contribute and learn by doing.
Once an Intern joins PE we will work with them to find the best fit for their skills and desires – matched against our need for assistance.
Major Accountabilities
Working with Designers and Front End developers
Working with Support teams
Assisting our Central teams with people and engagement activities
Helping Bas or Service Designers with workshops and analysis
Work closely with immediate Agile team on deliverables

Collaborate as required
Follow and utilise experience of senior team colleagues
Actively seek out opportunities to learn new skills in a work context
Work with Systems and Operations teams to understand importance of ensuring high quality and speed of delivery
Specific Position Requirements
Participation in Agile team standups, iteration showcase and retrospective sessions, planning and estimation
Exposure to common workplace tools
Understanding of our ways of working
Process methodology exposure (e.g. Agile, Scrum/XP, SAFe)
Collaboration tools (e.g. JIRA, WIKI, Sharepoint, Rally)

Second last or final year of a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree
Permanent residents and Australian citizens only
