STAND ON track trencher
The all new RTK Stand-on Track Trencher from Barrreto features a fixed platform and unique fine tuning control adjustment that uses rod linkage instead of cables. The new Adjustable Trenching Control (ATC) can be placed into position to modify the trenching speed of the tracks individually while on the go. Individual track controls can be adjusted separately during operation allowing the operator to keep their trench straight when working on uneven terrain. Simple, one-handed controls are easy for any operator, and the boom pivot design keeps high maintenance components out of the dirt, reducing wear.

Since 1984, Kenco Corporation has been manufacturing unique lifting attachments for use in the construction and demolition industry. Kenco lifting products can be attached to any excavator, wheel loader or backhoe machine with the lifting capabilities required for the job. The versatility and increased productivity that is gained through using Kenco attachments have made them an integral part of road and bridge construction, water and utilities, landscaping, and other projects.
Kenco’s top selling product is the Barrier Lift. It can be used to move concrete barriers, sound walls, curbing or piling. It is not unusual to see it performing along the highways, as it is utilized by DOT’s in all 50 states. These lifters have a fully automatic grab and release action that allows barrier to be handled from inside the cab. As it is lowered onto the wall, the lifter grips the sides of the wall tightly. The wall can then be lifted and carried and will not release until the wall has been set firmly into position. It is ready for immediate operation by just attaching a shackle to the lifting eye and can be used on any type or model of machine with rated lifting capabilities. Nine different models are available in capacities from 1500 to 40,000 pounds.
The newest Kenco product was introduced in November - a totally redesigned Multilift. What makes this attachment so unique is that the legs are adjustable to widths up to 68 inches. These new V1 models automatically grab and release precast objects weighing up to 4 tons. An innovative feature is the addition of a lever that flips to free the legs for width adjustment rather than having to remove and re-align pins. The lever flips down to unlock, allowing the legs to slide freely along the shaft of the lifter. Once the legs are in the preferred position, the lever is simply flipped once again to lock the width. This all new design has more travel than its predecessor and will accommodate widths that vary up to 5 inches without any readjustments. This attachment can be configured to grab from the outside or from the inside out for culvert boxes, simply by reversing the leg orientation. The Multilift can be used on any machine with lifting capabilities. There is no need to attach additional hydraulics. It hooks up with a typical sling and shackle assembly. Optional modified legs featuring free-pivoting pads to grab curved surfaces such as manholes are also available. The Multilift comes in 3000 and 8000 pound capacity models.
Whenever it involves heavy lifting on highway, bridge, utilities, quarry or other projects, Kenco has an attachment to make the task easy. See the entire line of lifting attachments at kenco.com
Kenco furnishes attachments for excavators from mini to 200,000 pounds, wheel loaders from 1 to 40 yards, dozers, and skid steer machines. www.kenco.com •

NCP COMPANY PROFILE
Since 1957 Stephens Mfg. has been helping build America by ensuring that contractors have had an uninterrupted affordable supply of the materials they need. We have evolved and grown to meet this unprecedented need with state of the art efficient and profitable concrete batch plants. Today, Stephens Mfg. proudly offers a complete line of portable and stationary concrete batch plants that have passed the test of time delivering dependable performance year after year.
All of the Stephens plants are designed and built for seismic and wind loads depending on the operation-al location. This ensures your plant will meet local requirements and building codes. Unlike our compe-tition, we consciously have chosen to guarantee our customers that every plant made by Stephens Mfg. will meet the local seismic, and wind loads for their job site.
Over the past eight years, many companies were contracting to weather the tough economic storm. We have expanded both our services and equipment, and we have three new portable concrete plants (Falcon, Mustang and the self-erecting Clydesdale), a new central mixing drum (The Stephens Workhorse), self-erecting Pony Express silo and a New Portable (RCC) Mixer.
The NEW Falcon Plant is an extremely large portable plant. The structure is designed to support two 1069 bbl silos and a 200 ton aggregate. This plant can safe on several loads of freight and reduces the required foot space for a plant giving more room for ready mix traffic around the yard.
The NEW Mustang plant is a mobile in truss silo style plant. The silo is a 400 bbl and the bins are 70 tons. This plant is great for easy and quick instal-lation and moving from site to site. This will give Stephens two “in-truss” style plants. The larger and much faster Eagle plant and the NEW more mobile Mustang.
Company Profile: Stephens Mfg.
The New (RCC) Portable Mixer uses the Sicoma (twin shaft) mixer and it was de-signed to convert any existing dry batch plant into a central mix and RCC plant. The mixer can batch over 5yd of RCC con-crete per batch(6yd, 8yd and 10yd mixers available), and it can produce over 200 yards per hour if the dry batch plant can supply the necessary concrete. Stephens can offer hydraulic options for leveling jacks, unfolding conveyor and raise/low-er the truck collection hopper. The truck
collection hopper will allow the mixer to load standard ready mix trucks and/or dump trucks.
Stephens Mfg. also recently acquired the exclusive right for a reversing drum mixer “THE STEPHENS WORK-HORSE MIXER”. Stephens Mfg. Co., Inc., a world leader in the manufacture of concrete batch plants, and ISL Machin-ery, Inc. located in King City, Ontario, the designer and marketer of the Inventure
Reversing Drum Mixer have entered into an agreement whereby Stephens owns exclusive rights to manufacture and market the Inventure Mixer in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
Self-erecting PONY EXPRESS silo 412 bbl. in truss silo with single axle trans-portation system. Includes 10” high speed screw. Designed with or without hydraulic system to raise silo. Two designs available; with or without skid base frame. With skid frame concrete foundation or slab may not be required.
The BRAND NEW “self-erecting” CLYDESDALE plant. The newest in the line of Stephens plants is a low profile self-erecting plant. The self-erecting plant can have accumulating or decum-alating aggregate scales, with maximum of 100 ton agg storage. Cement silo is 385 bbl. single compartment, with 14yd cement batcher, 30” or 36” transfer conveyor, 3” water meter and 15hp air compressor. The silo has two sin-gle-stage cylinders to erect silo and the plant has four hydraulic lifting jacks. The plant is skid frame based to reduce the need for concrete piers. The plant was designed for quick and easy installation. Quick connect electrical connection can be available on the auxiliary silo and conveyors.
Stephens still continues their long line or reliable portable and stationary concrete plants. The Empire and Stallion station-ary plants are still our heavy duty plants. We still have the DC-Colt decumalating plant, our “bread and butter” Thorough-bred portable plants and the super fast Eagle portable plant. We manufacture a complete line of equipment to compli-ment our plants. Truss conveyors, Radial stackers, Flyash silos, screw conveyors, central dust collectors and ready mix reclaimers are just a few of the items we build to complete your plant needs.
Whatever your equipment needs Ste-phens has a plant for you. www.stephensmfg.com/index.html •

Atlas Copco Construction Equipment launches two new light towers — the HiLight V4 and the LED HiLight V5+. The HiLight V5+ minimizes operational costs with its long-lasting LED bulbs and fuel-efficient operation. The HiLight V4 features four metal-halide floodlights to give contractors a dependable light source for a variety of jobsites. Both models are lightweight, compact and feature Atlas Cop-co’s exclusive HardHat® canopy for extreme durability in rugged applications, such as construction and roadbuilding.
“For their crews to be successful, contrac-tors need equipment that is cost-effective to operate, durable and safe. Those three points are always key drivers for innova-tion,” said Michael Sagermann, Atlas Copco business line manager, portable energy division. “That’s why we incorporated our exclusive HardHat canopy and designed the HiLight V5+ with a compact footprint, LED lights and retractable mast.”
The LED floodlights are rated for 10,000 hours and are durable to withstand a range of challenges, from vibrations during transport to harsh work environ-ments. The New Conduit Locknut Wrench by Klein Tools
Klein Tools introduces the Conduit Locknut Wrench, an innovative tool designed to eas-ily loosen and tighten conduit connectors in tight or deep cut-in boxes.
Perfect for remodel work where the cut-in boxes are filled with existing wires, the Con-duit Locknut Wrench (Cat. No. 56999) features two wrench heads for ½” and 3/4” conduit connectors. Using a patented drive shaft, the wrench heads rotate each other when twisted. This eliminates the need for side to side tool movement. Each wrench head also features a hole for a screwdriver as a lever to enable more torque on extra tight connectors. Conduit Locknut Wrench features include:Easily attach locknuts in tight or deep cut-in boxes. For ½” and 3/4” connectors.Heavy duty steel construction enables needed torque for extra tight connections. “Typical methods for tightening or loosen-ing conduit connectors, like a hammer and screwdriver, a pair of pliers or your fingers, rarely work well because of the limited range of motion inside a tight or deep cut-in box,” says David Mueller, senior product manager at Klein Tools.
