The Mission

There are two teams, the Red team and the Blue Team, however the Blue Team consists of only one member, Mr. X, and you control his actions throughout the DVD game. The Red team has a special disc which the Blues need and will do anything to get to it. Control what Mr. X does to retrieve the disc and bypass the enemies base. There are plenty to choose from, and if you make the wrong choice you’ll lose a life point. If you lose all life points, it’s Game Over.

The Transmedia

There is plenty of Transmedia used to further the game. There is:– Facebook– YouTube– Posters– Comic– Website– Mobile App

YouTube

YouTube is used for the personal profiles of the members of the Red and Blue Team. You can see what they’re like outside of their job and also there are hints of codes to be found to unlock something on the Website.

Facebook

Facebook allows updated information to be posted, so it can give leads to deciphering the disc.

Twitter

Twitter was also added to the list of Transmedia. It is also connected to Facebook so it not only posts these on Twitter but also on Facebook.

Business Cards

A business card was created to advertise Cipher-X. It also linked to the Website with a QR code, YouTube and Facebook.

Posters

The Poster not only advertises Cipher-X but it also gives a QR-Code to quickly link to the website.

Comic

The Comic allows the viewer to see an insight of the red base and how they first obtained the disc. There is also art sketches of the characters to intrigue the audience to Cipher-X more.

WebsiteThis is the Website which contains links, about Cipher-X and also a Code page. The Code page is used for inputting a four digit number found somewhere within the videos. This’ll unlock something special.

Mobile App

The Mobile App extends the gameplay of the DVD game. Once the user has completed the DVD game, they’ll have to go to the Mobile App to get the full extent of the story and to finish the game off. In this game they have to sneak past the guards and defeat enemies.

To edit the video, Adobe Premiere was used. Plenty of different types of editing techniques used including cutting, fading and black and white
