Step One: Mission
29
Step one: Mission
You started your own business because you have something to share with
the world
To be a catalyst for others and the greater good
Within you, there is a deep yearning to
31
A difference only youcan make
I call this sharing your brownies
But sometimes, you don’t fully express that in your
business
Because you’re not always totally clear on your mission and calling
32
For fear of rocking the boat
Fear of being rejected
Or simply because you haven’t given yourself
permission to be your most authentic self
But when you’re not fulfilling your divine contract, it
creates a sense of emptiness
33
A feeling that your soul’s path is calling out, longing
for something moreLike you’re driving with one
foot on the gas and one foot on the brake
Wondering why you’re not growing faster
Yet once you recognize your call and say yes to it,
your life truly begins
34
Your business and income grow faster and faster
You were given this message to share, not to
hoard
Your Creator wants you to share the message you’re
passionate about
In fact, the Universe will help you when you do
35
Joseph Campbell also talked about the refusal of the call
If you don’t accept the journey, you die inside
Some call it depression, I call it repression or suppression
And the struggle continues
36
And yet when you do follow your bliss, you put yourself
on the track that’s been waiting for you all along
This is about stepping in the direction of your
Divine Contract
Know that your message will lie dormant within you
like the acorn, until you activate it
And your potential for great abundance will also stay
dormant within you, until you activate it
37
Here’s what I’ve discovered about having a meaningful 6- or 7-figure business...
You must align your business with your life purpose or passions
Otherwise, at the first speed bump, you’ll give up
So, how do you determine what your message is?
38
It’s time to get real with yourself
Determine what makes your heart sing
“Look in your own heart. Unless I’m crazy, right now a small voice is piping up, telling
you as it has ten thousand times, the calling that is yours and yours alone. You know it. No
one has to tell you.” – Steven Pressfield
What are your “10s”?
39
What stirs your soul?
What section of the bookstore do you gravitate
to? What books are on your nightstand?
What are you passionate about in your business?
In life?
Who do you want to stand up for? Who do you want
to be a hero to?
40
What are yournon-negotiable values?
Ask yourself what you’d do if you lived in a vacuum
If there were no limitations, consequences, or repercussions and you could only succeed, what would you do for work?
41
What have you mastered that fills your heart?
What have you overcome in your life and who do you
want to help so they overcome it too?
What gives you untold energy when you do it?
What would you do for free, all day long, and still
feel passionate about, grateful to do it all again
the next day?
42
Look for the kernel of corn that brings you bliss
What brings you to tears, either happy or sad?
How do you want to leave a mark on the world? What’s your Big Why?
43
Let’s figure this out right now...
So now, it’s time to come out of the closet with your
message
No one needs to give you permission but you
44
Turn up the volume on that kernel of corn
Weave your mission into your existing business
(or one you want to start)
You can do it little by little For me, it meant weaving my passion for mindset, life
purpose, personal development and spiritual principles into my existing
marketing teachings
45
That’s when people came out of the woodwork to
work with me
(and got exponentiallybetter results)
You don’t need to lead with it (yet) but do definitively
weave it in
Doing this tripled my business to 7-figures in
9 months
It also increased my level of meaning and fulfillment from
a 6 right up to a 10+
46
47
48
You don’t have to change your entire business, but
start to weave it in...
For me, it started with a one-time teleclass called ‘How to manifest all the
clients you need’
(I was scared it was too woo-woo)
Then I started weaving this stuff into my work with clients and they begged
for more
49
Then I wrote a book called Embrace Your Magnificence
that has nothing to do with marketing
Now, I run yearly workshops on mindset,
personal growth, spiritual principles and playing bigger
with 350+ people
(MindsetRetreat.com)
And my clients seek me out because I’m a sheep in
wolf ’s clothes
What will you do to align your business with your
mission and passion?
By when will you do it?
