Next month features great room/family room remodels, so be sure to submit your photo of the great room/family room you have done or been a part of since 2011 to the HBAL office no later than March 15, 2013 to be considered as the Best of the Best! Recognition will include a picture of the project along with your company name in the Step by Step publication and a spot on the HBAL website for one month. Entries cannot win in more than one category. March - Great Room/ Family Room remodel April - Bathroom May - Pools June - Kitchen July Landscaping/Ponds August - Windows September - Decks October - Bar/Wine cellar November - Basement finish/ remodel December - Custom Cabinetr y I’d like to thank ever yone who participated in the Home and Garden Show this year. It’s a lot of hard work preparing and setting up for the event, not to mention the hours to man the booths and the volunteers needed to help make sure it runs smooth! There were so many ideas for the consumers of our community to see. Over 16,000 people attended, and approximately 5,000 pounds of food was collected for the Food Bank, along with a $32.00 donation. I enjoyed visiting with some of you at the Home Show and I hope this will be the start of a ver y busy and prosperous year for all of you. Thank you to ever yone who stopped by Ferguson’s showroom for some good food and drinks at our After Hours event. It was neat to see all the new trends that may be possible for your future projects. Thank you also to the Ferguson staff for graciously hosting the event! I think it’s important for us to support each other’s businesses and find out how our fellow members can contribute to the success of our own client projects! Camaraderie is an important virtue for all of us to work towards. I hope to see you all again at our next meeting. Feel free to bring a friend! Congratulations to Tru-Built Construction for winning this month’s Best of the Best with their Veranda/Porch entry. Very impressive! Keep up the good work! Next month’s categor y will be Great Room/Family Room remodel. I hope we get a lot of contestants from which to pick! The March meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 12 at Valentino’s on 35th and Holdrege Streets.
