BEAUTIFUL RAINFOREST SETUP

TERRARIUM SETUP GUIDE

1. Place the Exo Terra Terrarium in the desired location.

2. Install the Dripper Plant pump using the convenient cable access points at the bottom of the background.

3. Use Exo Terra Bio Drain Substrate to create a sloping base layer, tapering out towards the front of the terrarium.

4. Lay the Bio Drain mesh 45 x 45cm over the substrate.

5. Cover the mesh in a layer of Exo Terra Plantation soil then add a large cork bark branch (make sure it sits securely).

6. Add the dripper plant, bury the base in the soil, place the Snake bowl in front of the dripper to create a reservoir for the pump. (Ensure the plant drips into the bowl)

We also used the following live plants: Bromeliad, Wandering Jew Tradescantia pallid, Parlour Palm Chamaedorea elegans, Peacock Plant Calathea, Boston Fern Nephrolepis exaltata, Mind-your-own-business Soleirolia soleiroliiPlus pebbles, gravel and a cork bark branch. Seek guidance from a reptile specialist for more advice.

7. Attach the Exo Terra hanging plants to the sides of the terrarium.

8. Now we can add live plants, such as Parlour Palm Chamaedorea elegans.

9. Exo Terra Dual Substrates “Tropical Floor” adds a realistic forest floor.

10. Add more plants. We used a Bromeliad and Boston Fern Nephrolepis exaltata

12. Exo Terra bendable vines add detail and interest to the setup. We wrapped them around the branch.

11. Continue planting, we used: Wandering Jew Tradescantia pallid Peacock Plant Calathea Mind-your-own-business Soleirolia soleirolii

13. Add moss from Exo Terra Dual Substrate bag. Add a layer of gravel to the front of the terrarium.

14. Install the Exo Terra Monsoon Misting System. Refer to the Monsoon Instructions for further details.

15. Install the lighting canopy. The setup is now ready.
