Frankston City Council provides a range of waste and recycling services for local residents, including:

• Kerbside garbage (collected weekly) and recycling (collected fortnightly)

• Green waste (optional, collected fortnightly)

• Additional garbage, recycling and green waste bins available for an extra charge

• Eligible residents can apply for an additional recycling bin, free of charge

• Hard waste collection

• Frankston Regional Recycling and Recovery Centre (local transfer centre)

Frankston Regional Recycling and Recovery CentreThe Frankston Regional Recycling and Recovery Centre (FRRRC) accepts a range of items, many for free. Residents receive a discount on hard waste gate entry fees. Address: 20 Harold Road, SkyeOpening hours: Monday to Sunday 8am-4pm, closed Good Friday and Christmas Day.

Most items that can’t go in your recycling or green waste bin go in your garbage bin, unless they can be recycled in other ways (see ‘Other waste and recycling services’ below).

If your bin is contaminated, it won’t be collected until the contaminants have been removed.If in doubt, leave it out.
