The only thing between you and a stylish boat is some painter's tape and a FLEXiO® 890 with detail front end attachment. Marine paint is designed to hold up in water and inclement weather. It comes in a myriad of colors and can turn your ho hum boat into something extremely memorable.

6

1. Prime the boat white both inside and out with marine primer paint.

2. Tape off a design pattern with painter's tape.

3. Paint each part of the boat with your colors of choice.

Add summer charm and whimsy to any outdoor screen by embellishing it with a stencil. We added the dandelion stencil to a window screen, but you could do the same thing to a screen door or pantry cupboard.

1. Clean and dust off the screen using a dusting brush.

2. Attach a stencil to the screen using painter's tape. Spray over the design until stencil cutouts are covered with paint.

3. Remove the tape and install the screen in a window casing.

Stencil your design on the inside of the screen to

help protect paint from the weather.

Stenciling is an old design style that dates back to Egyptian times. The design style is often used in place of fancy and expensive wall coverings and was used to add personal style to interiors that were somewhat boring. The use of a Wagner paint sprayer reinvents the technique creating crisp and sharp design renditions easily and quickly.

9

An old transom window is upstyled into a glass porch divider to separate a seating area from a dining space. Add the same style to interior windows, doors, and cabinet panels.

1. Clean the glass thoroughly before placing the stencil and applying paint.

2. Tape the stencil to the glass and protect painted frame with additional masking.

3. Spray the stencil pattern using the detail nozzle. Hold the nozzle 3-5 inches from the window surface when spraying. Remove the tape and stencil to reveal pattern.

10

Painting glass creates translucent privacy to any

space glass exists. Add character with a stencil in

any color you desire.

11

Surfboards aren't just for the beach anymore . . . use some blue tape and a detailed front end and spray a personalized pattern that fits your style. Then show it off on the beach, as a home accent or as a

seasonal coffee table.

Surf 's Up!

Marine paint comes in a plethora

of colors and with a bit of

painter's tape you can create a

multicolored pattern all your own.

12

1. Select two or three colors that work well together. We used a plaid summer shirt as color inspiration.

2. Wash, wipe and dry board. For the best final finish, coat the surf board with oil based primer. Dry thoroughly.

3. With a ruler, mark and tape off a design. Line the front end detail nozzle sprayer cup with a plastic liner to make cleanup a breeze, and then fill with paint. Spray an even coat of paint over a taped-off surface. Let dry and repeat with second color. Remove tape immediately and continue drying for 24 hours.

Spray colors and designs of your choice to personalize and

upstyle your surfboard.

13

Easy projects with the FURNO heat

to tables, paint trays and illuminating candles. Follow our designs to

recreate these on your own porch.

Spray over your world with fresh summer colors and simple step-by-step designs that create a heaven of an outdoor space.

You can reinvent a

grouping of wicker furniture in

an afternoon.

15

navigator's tablePerky colors and interesting designs move a cast-off coffee table into a starring role helping you navigate a stylish summer.

1. Spray a table with coat of white paint.

2. Arrange wood circles in two sizes in a random pattern across the table top.

3. Spray over the circles with a Studio Pro sprayer in your favorite shade of paint.

4. Remove the wood circles to reveal the pattern. Let dry completely.

All kinds of found items

wicker chairsWicker furniture becomes faded and worn without proper care. Use the Wagner brand of paint sprayers to protect your wicker and revive it with current colors.

1. Clean and wipe down the wicker piece. Use the blower effect on the sprayer without using a nozzle to clean dust stuck between the weave.

2. Line the sprayer paint cup with a plastic liner and fill with your desired color of paint.

3. Using the detail nozzle, hold the sprayer three inches away from the surface and paint in a back and forth horizontal pattern. Let dry.

18

The sprayer is miraculous at delivering paint

to every nook and cranny of intricately

designed wicker.

Painting delicate wicker furniture by hand can take days. Spray it with a Wagner paint sprayer in minutes. For easy results, hang the piece in the air with a paint cloth spread out underneath the piece. If not possible to hang, simply keep turning the piece to cover all edges of the furniture.

To create a bicolor wicker look, first spray

half in one color and let dry. Then, tape off the

painted edge and spray in a complimentary color.

19

seaside pillowsThe Wagner Studio Pro paint sprayer creates defined stencils with a crisp edge. Use painter's tape, a stencil, and your favorite colors and designs to create these easy

summer patterns.

1. Remove the pillow from fabric case.

2. Center a stencil on the pillowcase and tack to mount on a wall covered

with a drop cloth.

3. Using the detail nozzle, spray paint in an even side-to-side motion, holding the sprayer about three inches from the surface. Let dry

completely before using.

20

Fabric paints and chalky style paint are all great on fabrics and to use with stencils. For latex paint, simply dilute paint by a third to create a mixture that will absorb into fabric better than simply applying the paint on top.

Craft stores and art supply shops have a mix of modern and detailed stencil designs. Hand-pick from a variety of choices or search online for stencils that are truly in line with your design sensibility. Wipe excess paint from stencils and store them flat to reuse designs over and over again.

Words, symbols, numbers or graphic

designs are all possible subjects for

pillow art. Use commercial stencils or

make your own with mylar paper and

painter's tape.

FINDING STENCILS

21

Create an easy and breezy floor cloth with painter's tape and paint.

1. Spray a canvas cloth with cream-colored paint and let dry completely.

2. Use a ruler to create even and parallel stripes with painter's tape on the canvas.

3. Spray over the tape until the open stripes are covered with color. Remove tape to show the stripe pattern.

seafoam floor cloth

Floor cloths are great for summertime porch rugs. They catch dirt and sand that comes in on sneakers and flip flops. Use them to keep entry doors and walkways tidy.

22

Patterns are easy to create and design using only painter's tape and a sprayer. Think argyle, trellis, blocks and plaids . . . they are all easy and possible designs that you can mark off with the tape and spray over with your favorite paint colors.

Tape and paint create an instant

and refreshing summer pattern.

23

candle wrapsHeat up your next porch party with these colorful and graphic pillar candles.

1. Cut gift wrap or scrapbook paper to fit the height of your pillar candles.

2. Heat the sides of the candle with a heat gun to just before melting point—about 30 seconds or so. Attach paper to the soft wax and smooth down the paper surface with a tongue depressor.

3. Arrange candles as a centerpiece. As with all candles, keep them within sight and out of the reach of children. Trim excess paper as the candle burns down.

As you melt the candle keep smoothing the paper with the depressor. Wax will coat paper and adhere it to the candle shape.

glorious shadeA hanging shade is a stylish way to add evening light to a porch. Add a stencil to "spray it up" a notch.

1. Use painter's tape to adhere a stencil design to the lampshade.

2. Spray over the design using the detail nozzle on your paint sprayer.

3. Remove the tape and stencil design to reveal graphic pattern. Light at night to show off design.

A place for everything and everything in its place. Create a towel bin for sandy beach towels.

1. Create your word or saying using stencil letters.

2. Tape into place using painter's tape to cover the areas you want to shield from paint.

3. Spray over the stencil and then remove the tape to reveal your personalized message.

Sanding

Turn a chore into an afternoon delight. Use the Wagner PaintEATER® to easily loosen flaking paint and create a smooth surface for a fresh coat. Fun paint shirts were gathered at a thrift shop to give the guests a team feel. Everyone gets a turn sanding and changing up the sanding disc. The PaintEATER® glides easily over the surface without gouging or over sanding the siding. SAND

DELIVER30

Assemble all your ladders, extension cords, sanding discs, and paint tools in one place. To determine the amount of paint needed to paint your home, provide the square footage of your home to your paint dealer.

Painter team shirts are thrift

store finds in red, white, and blue.

31

Painting

The spraying process has two applications. Using a FLEXiO® 990 sprayer, which draws off a 5 gallon bucket of paint, spray the bare wood surfaces with primer to seal them from the elements. Then spray the house with a latex exterior paint. The FLEXiO® 990 is lightweight and easy to maneuver, especially from a ladder and for hard to reach places.

32

Drop cloths are essential for covering items like bulkheads and patio stones where paint spills are not wanted. Let all your guests take turns trying the sprayer.

33

Partying

Hard work will create a hungry crowd. Have plenty of icy drinks on hand and easy make-ahead foods that are delicious and can be replenished in a jiff. Keep the theme by using red, white and blue dishes.

34

Pulled pork on a bun with cole slaw, fresh fruit salad, raspberry squares, watermelon, and a cake that looks like a burger will be tempting to all your house painters.

35

Set a stylish summer scene with tropical stencils that upstyle items that were destined for donation.

36

Here's how to add pattern to anything.

1. Buy a stencil or create one using mylar or contact paper.

2. Attach the stencil to furnishing with painter's tape or low tack spray adhesive.

3. Fill your Wagner sprayer with paint and spray evenly over the stencil until covered with color.

4. Remove the stencil and reveal your pattern instantly. Works great on beach totes, towels, and hats. An old dressing screen brings to mind a polka dot bikini.

This wall screen makes for a quick change by the pool.

Make the polka dots from a few different-sized irregular shapes cut from contact paper.

37

The Home Décor sprayer is the perfect Wagner tool to add style to any item that needs upcycling. But any Wagner sprayer will give you a crisp and beautiful stencil design.

1. Assemble your supplies: the Wagner sprayer, your favorite paint, painter's tape, and a low tack spray adhesive.

2. Select a stencil design that fits your mood. Beach art looks great on weathered, painted pieces of wood.

3. Tape down your stencil design. Use additional tape to create a border to prevent overspray.

4. Spray over the design at 3-4 inches from surface. Remove stencil to show relief.

An old wood board with

stencil and paint becomes an

instant piece of beach art.

38

Only three steps to add

style and apply a beautifu l

and enduring spray of paint.

Paint a planter with leftover paint.

39

Add complex color to stencils by layering the stencils in steps. Simply allow some time for the paint to dry in between the mix of the pattern and paint colors. The result will add depth to your overall design. A cupboard makes use of an art canvas to create a stunning door of philodendron leaves. A stencil of hibiscus flowers covers a soft canvas fabric that can be used as wall art or a floor cloth.

40

If you have the sprayer out, line up a

lot of projects at once. The cupboard

and chair were both sprayed with the

same shade of cream paint.

41

Make summer memorable in the colors that you love. Paint inner tubes with a marine

paint that holds up in sand and salt water.

1. Line the sprayer cup with a plastic liner. Equip the detail nozzle. Spray the entire inner tube with white primer.

2. Tape off stripe patterns on the inner tubes. Think both horizontal and vertical stripes.

3. Spray colors in stages by letting the paint dry thoroughly between colors. Wash off after a sandy day at the beach and store in a cool dry place.

FABULOUSFLOATS

Find inner tubes online or at a local tire store.

42

Paint on summer with colorful stripes and style. Add designs to lawn chairs, umbrellas, planters, and more . . .

Door Pri ze

A louvered door is as easy as painting a basket or wicker chair. Spray it with the Studio Pro and transform your home's street presence in minutes.

Nothing freshens up your summer style like a newly sprayed exterior door. Upcycling box store finds with great color and style means you can welcome guests and neighbors to your own warm weather retreat. Fire up a sprayer and totally revamp your curb appeal for the season.

1. Spray the door with a white water-based primer and let dry completely.

2. Add house numbers or flower stencils to the center of door using push pins.

3. Spray over the door with your color of choice in an exterior latex paint.

4. Remove the stencils to show off your graphic design.
