Crane Inspection RequirementsThe U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requires annual inspections of hoisting machinery by a competent person who has thorough knowledge of the requirements, regulations and standards governing equipment operation. Stellar Truck and Trailer has a Certified Crane Inspector on staff. We are prepared to inspect your cranes, note deficiencies as required by OSHA, and repair these deficiencies so your crane is ready for duty when it leaves our facility.

Also keep in mind, that the owner of the crane is required to maintain a record of the dates and results of these inspections for each hoisting machine. Any deficiencies noted during the inspection must be corrected before the crane is operated. Stellar Truck and Trailer will give you a new inspection logbook that will allow your staff to complete daily and monthly inspections and record them per OSHA’s requirements.

Crane Inspection ServicesStellar Truck and Trailer offers crane inspections that satisfy all OSHA requirements. Our OSHA inspections are conducted by technicians trained by an OSHA recognized training facility and include an in-depth visual and operational inspection of your crane. We put the crane through its normal operating cycles, removing safety covers for accurate inspection of concealed areas. In addition, lubrication, fluid, and torque services are provided.

A detailed list of items that require servicing or replacement for your unit to meet applicable OSHA standards is provided. The placement of correct safety warning stickers and operational safety devices is part of these standards. Once the standards are met, the OSHA report and inspection sticker that Stellar Truck and Trailer supplies will certify that your crane is operating safely per OSHA standards.
