W hat W e DoWe train a core group of master trainers at the local District Institutes of Educationand Training ( DIETs) who in turn train child educators and anganwadi workers

sensitising them against gender and caste discriminating practices. We also buildlocal level groups such as village education committees, mothers groups, parentteacher associations, childrens clubs which lend support and monitor inclusivelearning environments.

2 ) We also interact with theLabour Department, the localPolice, the Social WelfareDepartment and the localpanchayatsand train themhow to better protect

children from abuse andexploitation.

3) We help parents accessvarious social welfareschemes being provided bythe government such asNRGS, scholarships and other financial benefits so that

they do not depend on their children to add to the familyincome and thereforeencourage them to removetheir children from working environments.
