STATEMENT OF COMPETENCY

All senior PLP staff have undertaken post graduate studies in performance based building and fire codes and are able to assist with and analyse alternative solutions under the performance based Building Code of Australia.

SERVICES

Melbourne Convention Centre, Southbank of Yarra (total investment of $1billion) The convention centre is a major urban renewal project on the bank of the Yarra River and linking Southbank to the Docklands. The overall project comprises a 5000 seat Plenary Hall; a 319 room 5 star Hilton Hotel; office and residential towers; a riverfront promenade of lifestyle retail; and a 50,000m² premium brand homemaker retail complex. The complex features green design throughout with the convention centre proposed to achieve a 6 star equivalent rating.

QV Development – Corner Swanston, Lonsdale and Russell Street, Melbourne ($600million) The project comprises a mixed use development built on a 1.8 hectare CBD site, containing laneways; a 29 level headquarters for BHP Biliton; an 8 level office tower for Sensis; a 7 level mixed use tower; a 42 level residential tower; a further 7 level residential tower; 4 levels of retail/ entertainment/bars/restaurants; and 5 levels of basement carparking.

Victoria Point Development ($250 million)Mixed use development comprising a 9 level office tower; a 43 level apartment tower; a 5 level serviced apartment tower; 7,000m2 of retail space; and a new gym and pool complex.

Museum of Victoria, Carlton ($220million) A major exhibition and research museum incorporating theatres, galleries and exhibition halls, back of house facilities and basement carparking.

ANZ, Victoria Harbour ($375million)The project comprises Australia’s largest office building on the Yarra River in Docklands. The Building will provide 87,000 square metres of modern office accommodation with associated retail facilities and carparking.

Melbourne Showgrounds Redevelopment ($108 million)Extensive refurbishment of existing heritage listed buildings and the construction of 5 new buildings including a 10,000m² Grand Pavilion; a new Town Square and arena; and administration facilities.

Plenty Valley Town Centre ($108 million) Major extensions to an existing Westfield Shopping Centre which will increase the GFA by 50,000m².

Vodafone Arena, Multipurpose/ Velodrome Venue, Melbourne Park ($65million)A multipurpose sports and entertainment venue incorporating an international standard Velodrome; convertible retractable seating; an openable roof; and tennis & basketball facilities.

Socrates Capouleas

Socrates joined PLP in its’ early days and became a company director in 1997. Socrates has worked extensively on the firm’s major ventures and has vast experience in large scale projects having been directly responsible for billions of dollars worth of projects. Current Projects: Socrates is responsible for Australia’s largest office building at Victoria Harbour for ANZ and Stockland’s $400 million Tooronga Village mixed use residential/commercial development. Socrates has a reputation across the property industry for his solutions based approach and for the value he is able to add to developments of all types.

Peter Luzinat

Peter has consulted on some of Melbourne’s largest projects. Since the early 1990s he has been involved in Melbourne’s major Southgate Development venture, and his involvement with this flagship development has continued for almost 15 years. More recently Peter has been responsible for the entire $600 million QV development which occupies a full city block in Melbourne’s CBD and is consulting on the Melbourne Convention Centre and associated South Wharf developments which have a combined construction value of in order of $1 billion.
