Public Information Meeting Meeting Information This meeting is being held to provide information and receive input concerning proposed improvements to the above reverenced project. There will be no formal presentation; however, maps, drawings, and other information will be on display and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) representatives available to explain proposed improvements, answer questions, and receive comments. Those wishing to submit written comments/questions may do so at the meeting, via email to [email protected], or by U.S. Mail to Dean Mitchell, P.E., FDOT Project Manager, 777 Main Street, Building A, Chipley, Florida 32428. All comments must be postmarked no later than Tuesday, September 12, 2017, to become part of the official meeting document. Project Information The intent of this project is to widen three miles of State Road 22 from U.S. 98B to C.R. 2315 (Star Avenue). The existing two-lane roadway will be widened to a four-lane divided roadway with six and seven foot wide bicycle lanes, drainage improvements, six foot sidewalks on the north and south, and intersection improvements at U.S. 98B and U.S. 98 (Tyndall Parkway). Pedestrian features at the six existing traffic signals will be upgraded to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act standards. The project is not funded for right-of-way acquisition or construction in the current FDOT Five-Year Work Program.
