EcoCAR NeXt Challenge

In May 2008, Missouri S&T was among 17 college teams selected for the 3-year EcoCAR competition

In November, Missouri S&T was selected as one of only two teams in North America to receive a hydrogen fuel cell powertrain

Student Recreation Facilities Referendum

With a 63% majority, the student body approved a new $30 per student per semester capital fee to fund additional renovations of the student recreational facilities, including the student recreation center, intramural fields, and tennis courts

Faculty and staff who use the new fitness facility will also be assessed a fee of $30 per semester

Athletics Miners football won the Great Lakes

Football Conference championship and the Miners had 13 selections to the all-conference team
