On February 22, 2017, former Union Agriculture Minister, President of Nationalist

Congress Party (NCP), honourable Member of Parliament, Shri Sharadchandra Pawar

will complete fi fty years in State Legislature and Parliament. He is the only member

who has been active for fi fty years in the workings of legislative laws for state as

well as nation. In the last fi fty years, there wasn’t a single day where he wasn’t the

Member of State Legislature or Parliament. Union and State ministries have seen

his able leadership and witnessed his visionary traits. Now we wish to share his

thoughts and ideologies with the youth through essay writing competition. It will

inspire the youth in fulfi lling his dream of transforming India.

Note : This competition is open for

students from class VIIIth to Xth.

Students can submit their essays in

English, Marathi, Hindi or Urdu language.

Final date of essay submission in school will be 8th December 2016.

Terms and Conditions Principal’s signature and school stamp is mandatory on the last pageof the essay sheet, otherwise participant will be disqualifi ed.

Coordination committee of the competition will submit all essays in schools. Students must submit their hand written essays to

the Headmaster / Headmistress of school.

Toppers of district level competition (36 districts) will be invited to Baramati to participate in the state level fi nal competition and fi nal prize

distribution ceremony during 13th-15th January 2017. These winners will get opportunity to meet honourable Sharadchandra Pawar and

interact with him. Additionally, they will get the opportunity to visit various institutes in Baramati. Student can bring along one parent or

teacher, travel expenses will be undertaken by organisers.

Organisers hold the right to print or publish essays anytime without informing the participants. No participant can take objection.

Prize distribution venue and timing will be informed to winners

beforehand.

Top winners from district level competition will be invited to

Baramati to participate in the state level fi nal competition

and fi nal prize distribution ceremony during January 13-15,

2017. These winners will get opportunity to meet honourable

Sharadchandra Pawar and interact with him. Additionally, they

will get the opportunity to visit various institutes in Baramati.

Student can bring along one parent or teacher, travel expenses

will be undertaken by organisers. Travel expenses will be handed over to students at the venue

after presenting one way ticket of the bus. Essay topics of state level fi nal competition will be intimated to

district level winners a fortnight prior to the competition. District

level winners have to be present at Baramati for the fi nal round.

Shri Sharadchandra Pawar. Many projects saw the light under his able vi-

sion. He related with the common man’s angst, understood their needs and

incessantly worked for their betterment. These golden years of his career in

Parliament had many defi ning moments that would inspire today’s youth.

His career encompassing fi ve decades of vivid experiences will provide

insight to students who wish to follow his path. State level, interschool

essay writing competition will amalgamate Shri Sharadchandra Pawar’s

vision and deeds with words and expressions of students; thus creating

some fantastic reads. This way they will be able to understand, absorb and

implement Shri Sharadchandra Pawar’s progressive thoughts which have

always been shared by him on various platforms like speeches, columns,

interviews and innumerable programs.

Through the medium of essay writing, students will contribute in

spreading Shri Pawar’s dream of transforming Maharashtra. This is one

A booklet comprising of careful documentation of Shri Sharad

Pawar’s fi fty glorious years as the Member of Parliament will be

distributed in your school. Based on it students will be able to write

essays precisely. From 13 October to 20 October 2016, booklet will

be available in your school.

Word limit of 800 to 1000 words should be followed strictly. Essays

which fall short or exceed this limit will be disqualifi ed.

Essay can be written in Hindi, English, Marathi or Urdu. It must be

handwritten.

Clean and readable handwriting is advised while writing essay.

There should be no grammatical or spelling mistakes. Untidiness

should be avoided.

Inks of either blue or black pens can be used to write essays.

White, blank sheets should be used to write essays.

Back side of the page should be left blank.

Essays should have correlation with the topics given beforehand.

Anything out of context would be disqualifi ed.

Once written, essay must be sent on following postal address or

can be scanned and sent to email id- nibandh50@gmail.com only

handwritten essays will be allowed. Hardcopy should be given to

the concerned teacher of your school. School will then send it to our

organising committee.

side of the essay sheet, otherwise participant will be disqualifi ed.

Only winners will be informed about the results through post at

the school’s postal address.

Organisers hold the right to print or publish essays anytime

without informing the participants. No participant can take

objection.

All the essays will be thoroughly checked by the experts

appointed by the Organisation. Selection Committee

comprising of these experts will select or reject all

entries.

Decision taken by Selection Committee will be fi nal.

Organisers have the sole right to change the terms and

conditions at the last moment.

Essay writing competition for school children will be held all across Maharashtra. Students from Std. 8 to 10 can participate in

the competition. Marathi, English, Hindi and Urdu are the languages allowed for writing. Last date for submitting essays will be

December 5, 2016. Top three and two consolation essays will be given prizes at district level competition (36 districts to participate).

Prize distribution ceremony for essay writing competition will be conducted jointly with prize distribution for district level elocution
