Our Founder’s Vision of Disability Income Insur-ance

In 1882, Father Mc-Givney outlined the three grades of death benefits ($500, $1,000 and $1,500) as well as the “Sick Benefit Deposit, from which a member in good standing maydraw (a maximum) of five dollars per week for thirteen weeks, the amount there after, if sickness continues, to be reg-ulated by the Council to which the member belongs.”

Father McGivney knew the impor-tance of protecting income from an unexpected illness or injury. That is why in 2011 the Knights of Columbus developed Income Armor Disability Income insurance as an instrument designed to provide replacement in-come in the event of an illness or injury. The Income Armor Disability Income Insurance provides you the opportunity to protect perhaps your greatest asset – your ability to earn an income.

In the 135 years since, the Order has grown to include life insurance, disability income insurance, long-term care insurance, and retirement products. Give me a call today at 612 310-5254 and join the many other Catholic families who have benefits from Knights of Columbus.Dan Falstad, KofC Field Agent612)310-5254 [email protected]

Seminarian Ordination

The ordination ceremonies are still scheduled to happen for four of the sem-inarians that our council supports. Bill Duffert was ordained to the Transitional Diaconate on May 9th. The ordination was held at the Basilica of St Mary starting at 10:00. Deacons Paul Hedman, Tim Tran and Austin Barnes will be ordained to the priesthood on May 30th. This ceremony will be held at the St Paul Cathedral start-ing at 10:00. These ordinations are very spiritual and are well worth attending. Copies of notices sent to me by Deacon Barnes, show information regarding his first Mass and also information regarding the May 30th ordination. Check the Sem-inaries of St .PauI website if you plan to attend either ordination. With the Covid 19 restrictions changing weekly, you will want to verify that they are still scheduled. Please keep these men in your prayers. Dave Wilhelm
