State College High School
Career and Technology Center’s
Health Professions Program
Why Health Professions in High School?
According to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than 3 milllion RN’s will be employed by 2016 yet only 200,000 nurses are passing board tests each year.
According to the American Academy of Family Physicians, almost every state will have a shortage of primary care physicians by 2020.
Future dual enrollment options in the program can have a direct impact on college success.
