EMPANELMENT OF CONTRACTORS – NIT no: 1/2018-19
Applications are invited for empanelment of contractors for interior, civil, maintenance, Operation and maintenance of HT substations and electrical works under HT and LT category to be carried out at different locations in the state of Kerala and Lakshwadeep, Minicoy and Kavarathy islands. Full details and format for submission of application forms are available at and can be downloaded from our website: www.sbi.co.in under procurement news. The contractors who are already there in the panel of SBI also should submit application for the empanelment. Duly completed applications in the prescribed format with required documents etc. should be submitted on or before 04.05.18.

Class A & Class B
1. Contractors applying for more than one Category shall need to fulfill eligibility criteria for each
category of the work individually.
2. For Electrical Work the respective firm must possess valid Electrical contractor’s license and
supervisory license as mentioned in the criteria above.
3. The contractors should be equipped with necessary infrastructure like building construction
equipment, machinery and tools, labour strength etc.
4. The contractor is required to furnish their PAN, GST no, Registration details of firm with PIN No
etc. The applicant is to furnish the registration details for the EPF/ESI and the Labour license
details under the contract labour Act.

5. Preference will be given to those who have history of timely completion of works, taken up by
them during the last 7 years. If the works could not be completed within the stipulated time in
any of the cases it should have been completed within the extended time approved by the
appropriate authority of the organization. Relevant work orders and completion certificates for
the same issued by the concerned department are to be furnished to fulfill the eligibility criteria.
6. Bank has planned for online procurement and Contractor must submit the Valid E-mail ID, Cell
No and Digital Certificate to enable the Firms for participation in the online procurement/ e-
Tendering, which is mandatory.
7. The applicant shall furnish the address of his local office with name & cell phone no. of the
contact person. The contractor should submit the original documents for verification as and
when called for.
8. For Assessing the Annual Turnover of the last 3 years, Contractor must submit the valid
documents viz copy of Income Tax certificate, audited Balance sheet for the last 3 years.
9. The applicant should agree and authorize the Bank to obtain the confidential report from the
clients of the applicant contractors, to obtain credit opinion from the Bankers and to verify the
work executed by the contractors.
10. The contractors applying for more than one category should submit their applications
separately for each category. The Contractors must submit all the necessary certificate and
documents along with the application as per the enclosed Checklist to the address given below,
in the prescribed format within the closing date of 04.05.18. The Envelope containing
application is to be super scribed the Name of the Work and Category for which the
application is being submitted along with address and phone number.
11. The Bank shall not be responsible for the late receipt due to postal delay, strikes or any other
reasons. The incomplete application is liable to be rejected summarily and Bank reserves the right
to accept or reject any or all applications without assigning any reasons thereof.
12. Any clarification required by the Bank regarding the application should be furnished within the
stipulated time instructed by the Bank, failing which the Bank reserves the right to cancel the
application for empanelment without assigning any reason thereof.
13. The panel of qualified contractors will be valid for the entire Kerala Circle (Kerala state, Mincoy, Kavarathy & Lakshadweep) for a period of three years and the list of empaneled contractor's will be reviewed once in every year to assess the Performance of the Company regarding the reliability, Promptness of completion of works, quality of work delivered and compliance of Banks technical parameters.
14. Bank reserves the right to de-panel the qualified contractor at any stage during the validity period based on their Performance and feedback from the various Regions under Kerala circle (Kerala state, Mincoy, Kavarathy & Lakshadweep). Banks reserves the right to de-panel or blacklist the contractor at any stage if the information declared by the contractor is found to be false.

15. Contractors already in SBI Panel need to apply afresh.
Duly completed applications in the prescribed format with required documents etc. should be
submitted on or before 04/05/2018 (3.00 PM). The Bank reserves the right to accept or reject any or
all applications without assigning any reason thereof.

Scope of various works are detailed as under:
Interior & furnishing works:
The Interior works includes fabrication of counters, tables, partitions including doors,
false ceiling as per the Banks layout for branches, offices, guest house, Bank house.
Civil & Public health
Civil works includes construction of new buildings, Locker room, Strong room,
compound walls.
Rain water harvesting, Waste water treatment plant, Water treatment plant, STP etc .
Electrical works
New Electrical wiring for Light, fan points, Sub main wiring, Main wiring. Rewiring of the
existing premises as per the Bank's requirement
UPS and Raw power wiring, AC power wiring.
Installation of Light fixtures, fans, Geysers, Auto power factor correction equipment,
MSB, DB’s, Earth pits, Transformers, breakers, USS, Load break switch etc as per the
Bank's requirement.
HT cable laying with terminations. Providing support to bank for installation and
commissioning of DG set.
Laisioning with KSEB, Kerala Electrical Inspectorate and all other relevant organizations
for obtaining the sanction for Energization of DG, HT installation, required power for the
premises and regularization of the load for new premises and already existing premises
as per Bank's requirement.
Operation & maintenance
Daily Inspection and testing of the DG set for adequate Lube oil, water level in radiator, oil leaks
along with the test run. Informing Bank authorities regarding any abnormalities and

coordinating with the AMC vendor. Maintaining DG log book with periodical recording of V, I,
KW when the DG is in use.
Physical inspection of fuel level on daily basis and reporting to the Bank authorities for
replenishment of fuel if required.
Daily Inspection and cleaning of transformer and HT installations
Repair of lights, fans, replacement of MCB, switches, fuse units, plugs, sockets and other
maintenance activities at the premises related to electrical wiring, switch boards, DB's ,Panel
etc.
Attending to complaints regarding Lifts, Ac's, UPS and coordinating with various AMC agencies
for the rectification of faults and also for their periodical maintenance.
Operation of DG sets during power failures, Periodical and preventive maintenance of Electrical
installations at Bank's premises including Co-ordination with KSEB and Bank during emergency
break down.
Monitor and supervise the functions of substation, DG set, AMF panel, laisioning with KSEB,
Kerala Electrical Inspectorate etc when required.
