ELECTROLYTE RETENTION TEST

Una batteria completamente carica vacondizionata alla temperatura di 40Cper un minimo di 24 ore. In seguitoviene caricata per 3 ore a 14V e 50A in un bagno a 40C. Poi si esegueuna scarica ad una corrente pari a 4volte il valore della corrente nominaleIn (In=C20/20) per un tempo di 1h. Labatteria viene poi asciugata e caricataa 14 V e 50 A per 5 minuti. Senzainterrompere la carica, la batteria vieneposizionate per 2 minuti sui quattro latie capovolta. Dopo ogni posizione, siriporta la batteria in posizione verticaleper 30 minuti. Requisito: non si devonoverificare perdite di acido.

La prova prevede limpiego di trebatterie nuove e deve essere eseguitain cella termica alla temperatura di55 C, mantenuta costante per tuttala durata della prova. Posizionare,indipendentemente dallo stato di carica,le batterie su un piano orizzontale,con tempo di permanenza di almeno2 h superiore a quello necessario peril raggiungimento della temperaturadi prova. Ruotare le batterie comedi seguito descritto, ed appoggiarlesu un foglio di carta bianco perconsentire una migliore osservazionedei risultati della prova. Mantenerle intale posizione per 30 min. La prova superata con esito positivo se non ha

avuto luogo la fuoriuscita di elettrolito,su nessuno dei tre campioni in prova.
