    The following commands will help you stop and start an !"## 11g domain in a linu$

    en%irnonment.

    STOP OBIEE 11G

    Step 1 of 4: Shutdown OPMN Components

    racle &rocess 'anager should be used to shutdown all system components.

    Linux Command Line

    $ cd /opt/app/obiee/fmw_home1/instances/instance1/bin$ ./opmnctl stopall$

     

    Step 2 of 4: Shutdown Managed Serer

    !y default there should be one managed ser%er( bi)ser%er1 that we will shut down. *t the

     point you should shut down any other 'anaged +er%ers in this ,ebogic domain.

     

    Linux Command Line

    $ cd/opt/app/obiee/fmw_home1/user_projects/domains/bifoundation_domain/bin$ stopManagedWebLogic.sh bi_server1 t3//machine!""1 weblogic weblogic1$

    erify that the 'anaged +er%er has shutdown completely with ps -ef grep bi)ser%er1.

     

    Step ! of 4: Shutdown Node Manager

    There should be a single ode 'anager for the machine. +hut it down with the command

     below.

    $ ps #ef grep %ode grep nodemanager grep #v grep cut #c1"#1&$ 'ill #( ))))

    Step 4 of 4: Shutdown "dm#n Serer

    There should be a single ode 'anager for the machine. +hut it down with the command

     below.

     

    Linux Command Line

    $ cd/opt/app/obiee/fmw_home1/user_projects/domains/bifoundation_domain/bin$ ./stopWebLogic.sh weblogic weblogic1 t3//machine!""1$

     

    erify that the 'anaged +er%er has shutdown completely with ps -ef grep *dmin+er%er.

     

    ST"$T OBIEE 11G

    Step 1 of 4: Start "dm#n Serer

    emember to run standard %ariable scripts first.

    Linux Command Line

    $ cd/opt/app/obiee/fmw_home1/user_projects/domains/bifoundation_domain/bin$ nohup ./startWebLogic.sh #*weblogic.management.username+weblogic#*weblogic.management.password+weblogic1 ,$ tail #f nohup.out

    *fter issueing the start command we tail the log until we see the message below( indicating

    that the ser%er has started successfully.

    ,ebogic+er%er3 !#*-0004603 +er%er started in 5" mode3

    Step 2 of 4: StartNode Manager

    There should be a single ode 'anager for the machine. +tart it up with the command

     below.

     

    Linux Command Line

    $ cd /opt/app/obiee/fmw_home1/wlserver_1".3/server/bin

    $ nohup ./start%odeManager.sh - %*.out ,$ tail #f %*.out

     

    *fter issueing the start command we tail the log until we see the message below( indicating

    that the ser%er has started successfully.

    Step ! of 4: Start Managed Serer

    !y default there should be one managed ser%er( bi)ser%er1 that we will start up. *t this point

    you should start any other 'anaged +er%ers in this ,ebogic domain.

    $ cd/opt/app/obiee/fmw_home1/user_projects/domains/bifoundation_domain/bin$ ./set*omainnv.sh$ nohup ./startManagedWebLogic.sh bi_server1 t3//machine!""1 -bis1_startup.log ,$ tail nohup.out

     

    *fter issueing the start command we tail the log until we see the message below( indicating

    that the ser%er has started successfully.

    +er%er started in 5" mode

     

    Step 4 of 4: Startup OPMN Components

    racle &rocess 'anager should be used to shutdown all system components.

    Linux Command Line

    $ cd /opt/app/obiee/fmw_home1/instances/instance1/bin$ ./opmnctl startall$ ./opmnctl status$

     

    The opmnctl command stopall should shutdown all running components including opmnctl.9ou can %erify this by running the status command which should return an error. 9ou should

    see ouput such as below.

    How to Start

    9ou ha%e three methods to start the managed ser%er:

    • with the console (recommended)

    • with FMW control

    • with the command line.

    With the Console

    • Log in to Oracle WebLogic Server Administration Console (or WLS ConsoleU) !sing the "ollowing U#L$ htt%$&&'host$**+&console

    • Under the bi"o!ndation,domain- e%and the /nvironment node in thenavigation tree- and clic0 Servers. 1here sho!ld be two servers listed$

    o AdminServer (the Administration Server)

    o and bi,server+ (the Managed Server).

    • Start the Managed Server- i" not r!nning with the control tab. A"ter thestart- 2o! ma2 receive this message$

    - re7uest has been sent to the 3ode Manager to start the selected servers.

    With FMW Control 

    • Log in to F!sion Middleware Control !sing the "ollowing U#L$htt%$&&'host$**+&em

    • Under the WebLogic 3omain e%and the bi"o!ndation,domain node in thenavigation tree- and select bi,cl!ster. Select bi,cl!ster- and clic0 theWebLogic Cl!ster men!. Select the Control o%tion "rom the men!- andselect Start U% to start the Managed Servers.

    With the command line

    rom your ser%er location :

    \InstallHome\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\bin

    un start'anaged,ebogic.cmd or start'anaged,ebogic.sh depending on your

    en%ironment +. 9ou must add the following argument :

    startManagedWebLogic.cmd bi_server1http:8administration_server_host_name9:"##1

    9ou will be prompted with your *dministrator credentials created during platform install.

    !ringing up this ser%ice may tae a few minutes depending on your en%ironment( wait untilthe command line stops scrolling and indicates ser%er is up. ;eep this command window up

    to eep ser%er up.
