Star of the Southwest Awards Application and Guidelines Each year at its annual conference, SWREDA recognizes projects funded by the Austin EDA Regional Office that demonstrate significant economic impact for the community, a meaningful commitment by the private sector, and a return on investment for EDA. The SWREDA board members from each state will solicit project applications and award one project which will be presented and showcased at the conference. Applications are due October 31, 2019 and this year’s SWREDA conference will be held December 4-6 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Eligibility Projects for Nomination: Project must have been awarded by EDA and completed since 2010. Project must demonstrate ongoing quantitative and qualitative results in that EDD region. Project must also demonstrate success in addressing goals of the EDD’s CEDS. Requirements for Projects Awarded: A representative of the business and the EDD will provide a project overview at the conference and participate in the Awards Reception to provide in-depth information and answer questions. Each project will be featured at a table with accompanying materials about the project including but not limited to exterior and interior photos, maps, printed materials, and samples if applicable. Awarded project representatives will receive complimentary conference registration and a stipend for travel costs. Applications must include all information, contacts, photos, maps and other documents that support the application. The application must be submitted to at least one of the board members from your state listed below. Star of the Southwest Awards

Application and Guidelines

Each year at its annual conference, SWREDA recognizes projects funded by the Austin EDA
