WanderGuard® Delayed Egress Magnetic LockThe WanderGuard® lock features a stronger holding force forareas where high security is needed.

WanderGuard® Delayed Egress Magnetic LocksWanderGuard® delayed egress magnetic locks are used on perimeter exit doors and internal fire doors to block unauthorizedexit and entry while providing a safe means of escape during a fire or other catastrophic emergency.

When someone attempts to exit through a door protected by a WanderGuard® delayed egress lock, an alarm sounds alerting staff before the door unlocks. Delayed egress locks provide a “nuisance cycle” and an “egress cycle.” The “nuisance cycle” requires constant pressure on the door between 0-3 seconds* toactivate the egress cycle. Once the “egress cycle” is activated, the door remains locked for 15 to 30 seconds*, giving staff time to respond to the unauthorized exit, or if during a fire or other lifethreatening emergency, unlocks allowing life saving egress.

The locks can easily be retrofitted into existing structures or new construction because all electronics are built into the magnet’s wiring compartment.
