What role plays AI with respect to Industrie 4.0 applications?→ Use Cases are a tool to identify and describe application scenarios
2019 Standardization Council Industrie 4.0
Challenges in AI StandardizationSelected Questions to be answered
Questions on AI standardization:
• Which AI methods can be used to fulfill requirements of standards?
• Is there a research need for AI methods to fulfill requirements of standards (e.g. explainable AI)
• Is there a need to adapt existing standards - to make standards “AI ready”?
• What has to be standardized additionally with respect to AI?
• How will AI systems use standards?
2009.02.2020
AI applications • require semantic interoperability for wide applications • will demand for machine interpretable standards

Invitation: Seminar “Industrie 4.0 Asset Administration Shell – Enabling Interoperability and Innovation in Smart Manufacturing”
Industrie 4.0 has reached a new level: Implementable specifications, exchange formats, interfaces, tools, demonstrators and first applications of the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) are now available, enabling interoperability of components in digitized industrial processes. And: The AAS is about to become an international standard of the International Standardization Organization IEC.
This is the right time to have a look at:
the big picture of AAS integration and interoperability,
the characteristics of AAS based applications,
first experiences with implementations incl. demonstrators,
standardization approaches to secure interoperability
the status of international and national partnerships and
next technical and organizational steps.
The event is free of charge. It has limited seat capacity (first come first serve). It runs in two identical circles: from 10 till 13h and from 14 till 17h (you can join at any time between 10h and 17h!)
Open format with: presentations | discussions with experts and insiders of the AAS development community | showcase AAS-demonstrators | “Meet-the-Expert Corner”
