There is a door kit and set to suit all applications and at Stairways we like to offer you a flexible choice whilst challenging the traditional cost and labour-intensive installation of hanging doors.
When specifying a Stairways door kit and set you can be safe in the knowledge that we have the experience and expertise to piece together your requirements that comply with building legislation and environmental issues that can become a time consuming matter when sourcing materials.

With the ever increasing demand for solutions that enhance, speed up and reduce the need for skilled labour, the versatility of the RapiDor system is the most positive solution to come to the aid of the house builder.
RapiDor has the unique benefit of being total reversible, making the risk of handing error nonexistent, and unlike any other system, includes an option for our unique fixing clip system ‘RapidFix’, making the requirement for face fixing and filling a thing of the past.
RapiDor is fire tested to FD30 standards and is available on a reduced lead time, making the installation of internal doors hassle free, fast and simple.

Stairways present the ‘superior’ solution in pre hung door sets.
Stairways leading door set option provides you with a pre-assembled, pre-hung door of choice, with lining to suit, ready for site installation. This option is the answer to solving unsightly margins around doors and frames, whilst providing you with the comfort of meeting building legislations Part B / E & M and can be specified with FSC in mind.
ResiDor can eliminate the necessity for any on site servicing when selecting our factory options.

D E L I V E R Y
Wherever possible, care should be taken with requesting delivery so that door kits and sets are not delivered prematurely.
Once delivery is made items should be inspected to ensure they are in accordance with the schedules and have not suffered any transportation damage. Any defects should be reported immediately. Any shortages or errors against the schedule should be reported within Stairways terms and conditions limit; this is usually 48 hours from receipt.
S T O R A G E
Your delivery will be packaged for transportation purposes only and must be immediately stored from the elements. The ideal conditions will be dry, cool and enable stacking of the materials to be in a horizontal position, allowing air circulation. Leaning against a wall will damage the product’s construction and may hinder its performance.
Do not store in any space that has been recently plastered or has suffered from excess moisture and water ingress.

Installation must be in line with the Stairways guidelines and certification.

D E C O R A T I O N
It is recommended by the door manufacturer that all surfaces must be treated at the same time to prevent distortion from moisture imbalance. Base coats and primers are not adequate for the longevity of the doors’ expected performance.

For information on maintenance required, please contact our sales office with details of your specification. In general terms, no abrasive materials should be used, and ironmongery should be maintained in line with the manufacturer’s warranty.

Stairways recognise that their products can be heavy and bulky and difficult to handle, and they therefore recommend that customers pay particular attention to their own statutory duties with regard to manual handling.
The Employer’s duty is to avoid manual handling as far as reasonably practicable if there is a possibility of injury. If this cannot be done then they must reduce the risk of injury so far as is reasonably practicable.
The Regulations set out a hierarchy of measures for Employers to reduce the risks of manual handling. These are set out in Regulation 4 (1) as follows:
– avoid hazardous manual handling operations so far as reasonably practicable;
– assess any hazardous manual handling operations that cannot be avoided;
– reduce the risk of injury so far as reasonably practicable.
