Before using your Stainless Drip Filter for the first timeItisrecommendedthatyoucleanyourdripfilterpriortofirstusebythefollowing:1.PlacetheStainlessDripFilteronaflat,

levelsurface.2.Addwaterintothedripfilterbyopening

thewatertanklidandfillingtothemaximumcapacity(12cup)mark.

3.Ensurethefilterbasketholderandremovablemeshfilterbasketarefirmlypositionedintoplaceandclosethewatertanklid.

4.Placetheemptycarafeintopositiononthekeepwarmplateandconnecttheplugintoa230/240VoltACpoweroutlet.TheLCDwillilluminateanddisplay’12.00’.

5.PresstheON/AUTO/OFFbuttononce.Waterwillstarttodripthroughintothecarafe.

6.Onceallthewaterhasdrippedthroughandthewatertankisempty,presstheON/AUTO/OFFbuttontwice.Thiswillturntheapplianceoff.

7.Washthecarafe,filterbasketholder,removablemeshfilterbasketandsuppliedcoffeespooninwarm,soapywaterandrinseanddrythoroughlyandpositionbackintoplaceintheappliance.

Setting the current time of day on the LCDImportant:TheclockonlyneedstobesetifyouareusingyourStainlessDripFilterin‘AUTO’mode.YoudonotneedtosettheclockforthemanualoperationofyourStainlessDripFilter.1.PlacetheStainlessDripFilteronaflat,

levelsurface.2.Connecttheplugintoa230/240VoltAC

poweroutlet.TheLCDwillilluminateanddisplay’12.00’.

3.PressthePROGRAMbuttononce.Thescreenwilldisplay‘SETCLOCK’.

4.PresstheHOURbuttonuntilthecorrectnumberofhoursisdisplayed.Youcanholdthebuttondowntoscrollthroughthenumbersquickly.

5.ThenpresstheMINbuttonuntilthecorrectnumberofminutesisdisplayed.Youcanholdthebuttondowntoscrollthroughthenumbersquickly.

Note:Thetimeisdisplayedbasedon24-HOURdigits.

6.Onceyouhavesetthedesiredtime,eitherpressthePROGRAMbuttontwicetoset,orwait10secondsuntiltheMINbuttonstopsilluminating.

thewatertanklidandfillingtothedesiredlevel.Thenumberofcupsisclearlymarkedonthewatergauge.Donotfillabovethemaximum12cupcapacity.Werecommendnotpreparinglessthan4cupsofcoffeeatonce.

3.Ensurethefilterbasketholderandremovablemeshfilterbasketarefirmlypositionedintoplace.Usingthesuppliedcoffeespoon,addthedesiredamountofcoffee.Werecommendtwospoonsofgroundcoffeepercupofdripfiltercoffeeyouarepreparing.Closethewatertanklid.

4.Placetheemptycarafeintopositiononthekeepwarmplateandconnecttheplugintoa230/240VoltACpoweroutlet.TheLCDwillilluminateanddisplay’12.00’.

5.PresstheON/AUTO/OFFbuttononce,andcoffeewillstarttodripthroughintothecarafe.

Note:Withtheanti-dripvalve,youcanremovethecarafefromthehotplateatanytimeduringthebrewingcycle.Returnthecarafeimmediatelyafterpouringcoffeetoavoidthefilterbasketfromoverflowing,asthebrewingcyclecontinuesevenwhenyoutemporarilyremovethecarafe.

6.Onceallthecoffeehasdrippedthroughandthewatertankisemptythebrewingcycleiscomplete.Waitafewminutesbeforeremovingthefilterbasketholderandremovablemeshfilterbasket,astherewillstillbehotliquidcontainedinthecoffeethatneedstodripthrough.

7.Waituntilthecoffeeintheremovablemeshfilterbasketiscoolbeforeremoving.Simplygraspthehandleofthefilterbasketholderandboththemeshfilterbasketandfilterbasketholdercanberemovedforcleaning.

8.Thekeepwarmplatewillremainonforupto2hours,orpresstheON/AUTO/OFFbuttontwicetoturntheapplianceoff.

Note:Turntheapplianceoffoncetheglasscarafeisempty,otherwiseitmaycrack

Tip:Thepauseandservefeatureisaconvenientwaytoservecoffeemidcycle,howeveritisidealtowaituntiltheendofthebrewingcycletoensuretheoptimumflavourfromyourcoffee.

3.Ensurethefilterbasketholderandremovablemeshfilterbasketarefirmlypositionedintoplace.Usingthesuppliedcoffeespoon,addthedesiredamountofcoffee.Werecommendtwospoonsofgroundcoffeepercupyouarepreparing.Closethewatertanklid.

4.Placetheemptycarafeintopositiononthekeepwarmplateandconnecttheplugintoa230/240VoltACpoweroutlet.TheLCDwillilluminateanddisplay’12.00’.

5.Setthecurrenttimebyfollowingsteps3-5under‘SettingthecurrenttimeofdayontheLCD’onpage5ofthisinstructionmanual.

6.Onceyouhavesetthedesiredtime,pressthePROGRAMbuttononce,andthescreenwilldisplay‘SETTIMER’.

7.PresstheHOURandMINbuttonstoselectthetimeofdayyouwouldliketoprogramyourdripfiltermachinetoautomaticallystart.

8.Onceyouhavesetthedesiredtime,presstheON/AUTO/OFFbuttontwice.TheLCDscreenwilldisplaythecurrenttime,whiletheON/AUTO/OFFbuttonwillcontinueflashing.Thisindicatesthattheapplianceisinautooperation,andisawaitingthepre-settimetobereachedbeforecommencingthebrewingcycle.

9.TheON/AUTO/OFFbuttonwillstopflashingandremainilluminatedoncethepre-settimehasbeenreachedandtheautooperationbrewingcyclehascommenced.

Brewing teaYoucanalsouseyourStainlessDripFiltertobrewyourfavouritetea.Simplyfollowthesamplestepsforwhenpreparingcoffee,howeveruse(4-6)teabagsorteaspoonsofteainsteadofcoffeeintheremovablemeshfilterbasket.Ensureyouremovealltracesofcoffeegrindintheremovablemeshfilterbasketbeforeusingteabagsasthiswillaffecttheflavourofyourtea.

Thereareafewsmalltipsthatiffollowedcorrectly,canresultinthebesttastingcoffeefromyourStainlessDripFilter.- Itisimportantthatyouuseonlyfinely

groundcoffeeinyourStainlessDripFilter.Thiswillresultinoptimumflavourandaromafromyourcoffee.Ifyouagrindingyourownbeans,itisimportantthatyougrindtothe‘DripFilter’setting,orthefinestgrindadjustment.Usingfreshbeanswillresultinthebestoutput.

- Ifyouhaveleftovercoffee,ensurethatthisisstoredinanairtightcontainerinadry,cooldarkplace.

- Experimentwithyourdesiredflavourbyaddingmoreorlessgroundcoffee,ortryingdifferentblends/brandsofcoffee.Thisisthebestwaytofindaflavourthatisidealforyou.

AlwaysdisconnecttheStainlessDripFilterfromthepoweroutletbeforecleaninganyparts.Donotimmersethepowercord,plugorunitinwateroranyotherliquid.

After each use1.Cleanalldetachablepartsincludingthe

filterbasketholder,meshfilterbasket,glasscarafeandplasticspooninwarm,soapywater.

2.Wipetheexterioroftheappliancewithasoft,dampclothtoremoveanystains.Neveruseanyabrasiveagentsontheappliance.

3.Waterdropletsmaybuildupintheareaabovethefunnelanddripontotheproductbaseduringbrewing.Tocontrolthedripping,wipeofftheareawithaclean,dryclothaftereachuseoftheproduct.

4.Useadampclothtogentlywipethekeepwarmplate.Neveruseanyabrasiveagentsonthekeepwarmplate.

5.Replaceallpartsintopositionreadyfornextuse.

Removal of mineral depositsOvertime,mineraldepositsintapwatermaybuildupinthewatertankandinternaltubes.Itisimportanttoperiodicallyremovethesemineraldepositstoensuretheoptimumperformanceofyourappliance.Toremovethisbuild-up,useSunbeamLiquidDescaler,asimpletouse,non-toxiccleaneravailablefromSunbeamAppointedServiceAgents.

Alternatively:1.PlacetheStainlessDripFilteronaflat,

levelsurface.2.Fillthewatertanktothemaximum

capacitywith2/3waterand1/3whitevinegar.Closethetanklid.

3.PresstheON/AUTO/OFFbuttononce,andthesolutionwillstarttodripthroughintothecarafe.Onceonecupofwaterhasdrippedthroughintothecarafe,presstheON/AUTO/OFFbuttontwicetoturntheapplianceoff.

4.Leavetheapplianceofffor15minutestoallowthesolutiontotakeeffectintheinternaltubesandwatertank.

5.After15minutes,presstheON/AUTO/OFFbuttononce,andwaitfortherestofthesolutiontodripthroughintothecarafeuntilthewatertankisempty.

5.Removethecarafe,filterbasketholderandremovablemeshfilterandcleaninwarmsoapywater.Rinseanddrythoroughlyandpositionbackintoplaceintheappliance.

6.Fillthewatertanktothemaximumcapacity(12cups)andpresstheON/AUTO/OFFbuttononce,andallowwatertodripintothecarafeuntilthewatertankisempty.Emptythecarafeandrepeat2moretimes.Yourappliancehasnowcompletedtheremovalofmineraldepositsandisreadyforuse.
