 Step 1: Using a deck of cards, draw out two cards. Step 2: The first card is how many rows down you will need. The second card is how many columns across. (Example, if you draw 3 and 6, then you would have 3 rows down, and 6 columns across).  Step 3: Count the number of dots to calculate your answer. Step 4: Your turn now to use the strategy. 

1. Choose two cards from your deck of cards.  2. Follow the steps above and record your work in your workbook. 3. How many can you complete in 20 minutes? If it’s too easy, challenge yourself and try a larger number.

 Fitness: Athletics - Shot Put. ❏ Watch a warm up game you can do at home and the shot put technique with Mrs Quinn - Shot Put (online). ❏ Practise shot put using a tennis ball, potato or sock (offline). The shot should be placed at the base of the first three 

fingers, which should be evenly spread but not stretched, with the little finger and thumb supporting the shot. The shot is then placed under the chin with the elbow held high.

Step 1: Draw a picture of the five shapes onto pieces of paper. Put them face down in a pile. Step 2: WIth a partner play a guessing game. One person chooses a shape from the pile (don’t show anyone). Step 3: The person without the shape has to guess what shape the other person is describing. (For example, my shape has four equal sides, four vertices (corners) and is flat. Answer = Square).
