From the President’s Desk The Ferguson Library partners with many organizations throughout the Stamford community. One of them is the Stamford Art Assocation, which curates art for ongoing shows at the Library. Our summer exhibit, Memory of Stories, opens May 17 with a reception at the Main Library at 6 p.m. This theme is especially appropriate since we have just finished phase one of an oral history proj- ect to collect and preserve Stamford stories. Our partnerships help us provide richer and more varied service. For example, last month we partnered with SilverSource to show the film “Edith + Eddie,” followed by a discussion of aging and elder rights. We often bring our book discussions to the Senior Center and Boys and Girls Club. Our Bookmobile travels throughout Stamford to pre-schools and other locations. Currently, The Ferguson Library partners with over 80 organizations throughout the community. – Alice Knapp, President CrimeCONN June 23 Mystery Lovers’ Conference The Friends of The Ferguson Library and the Mystery Writers of America/ New York Chapter are teaming up to host CrimeCONN, a one-day mystery lovers’ conference, June 23.
