Loreto House is expanding its mission to include a mobile sonogram van. We are in the process of raising funds to pay for a new portable sonogram machine as well as customizing the van. Loreto House will go directly to the Dallas and Fort Worth abortion mills to offer free sonograms to the women who feel they have no choice but abortion. Our mission will be the only Catholic mobile facility in the entire DFW area and we need more volunteers to help us at Loreto House as well as on the road. Is God tugging at your heart to be more involved in helping women in crisis? Please call Randy Bollig for more information at 214-850-4073 Thank you for your prayers and support.

STEWARD OF THE WEEK The office of youth ministry is SO THANKFUL for the team of HS Teens and adults who helped facilitate the Middle School RCIA Retreat. A BIG note of thanks goes to: Michaela Guillory, Will Green, Josephine Martinez, Vinnie Pagano, Larry Rios, Nancy Chevalier, Alfred Sanchez, Rebecca Chayrez, Garrett Chandler, Nina Romskog, Brandie Barrett, Brendan Morrissey, Flory Barrera, John Bousquet and Junior Medina. Your help as team leaders and chaperones made this a perfect retreat experience for our young teens who are seeking the Sacraments. Thank you all for shar-ing your time and your faith with these wonderful young people. You are touching so many lives with your generosity.

In today’s second reading, Timothy is issued a strong directive: “Bear your share of hardship for the gospel with the strength that comes from God.” For the early Christians this could mean torture and execution. For most Christians today enduring hardship for the gospel might include accepting ridicule or mockery, or the suggestion that we lack sophistication. Nevertheless, in his letters, Saint Paul is adamant that we should not be ashamed of being followers of Christ. Good stewards are not ashamed of their allegiance to Christ. They do not hide their faith. Reflect on this question: Are you willing to speak about following Christ Jesus no matter who your listeners happen to be?
