Charles Terrell services ·Friday
Charles Terrell, 69, ofLacona, died Sunday as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul E. Werger conducting. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery .
Survivors are his wife, Florence of Lacona; a son, David of Madrid ; a daughter, Susan Wonders of Maxwell; a brother, Dr . Paul Terrell of Lacona; and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church.
Furni~ure rags can start fires
Rags used to polish and refinish furniture can be dangerous. An Iowa woman found that out when she tossed some cotton rags she had used for refinishing into the washing machine to await a later washing. After going out for a few hours, she return ed home to find the rags had sel f-ignited and burned out the Inside of the washer.

Neighbour · John A. Neighbour , son of
. Alfred and Margaret (H unter) Neighbour, was born on June 15, 1919, in Buxton, Iowa, in Monroe County. He graduated from Williamson High School and attended night school nt Iown Success In Ottumwa while working for John Morrell Packing Company. On November 6, 1942, he was united in marriage to Elva Van Zee. To this union was born a daughter, Sue Ellen Eikenberry of Clarion, . and a son, John Warren, of Urbandale.
He was employed at Beatrice Foods 1941-1950, Hy-Vee Food Stores 1950-1970 as a buyer and warehouse superintendent. He then served eight years as a member of Lucas County Board · of Supervisors and was currently serving his first term as District 34 State Senator.
He was a member of the Rotary Club and had served as its president, Disciples of Christ Christian Church, Chariton Chamber of Commerce, and · Farm Bureau. He was past president of the Iowa Saddle Horse Association, served five years as president of Family • Planning, two years as president of 5th District Department of Court Services, president of Community Mental Health Centers Association of Iowa, Inc.
He is survived by his wife, Elva, Warren and· Rhonda Neighbour, Sue and Dan Eikenberry and grandchildren John and Allison Eikenberry. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather . neighbor, friend and citizen.
Funeral se rvices for State Senator John Neighbour, were held Wednesday , November 6, 1985 at the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, ln Chariton, Iowa. Burial was in the Charlton Cemetery.'l<'uneral arrangements were by the Mosher Funeral Home.
