Organic farming is becoming increasingly important as consumers more and more de-mand organic products. The Organic Farming Regulations EC 834/2007 and EC 889/2008 specify the conditions that an agricultural product must meet to obtain an EU organic label.

They also define which cleaning and disinfecting products may be used, but there is no procedure in place that states that such agents must also be marketed with an organic label. That’s why we closed the gap ourselves and developed an in-house logo makeing it easy to recognise bio-compliant products.

The Organic Farming Regulations mainly consider products bio-compliant based on low-processed basic chemicals such as caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite, mineral acids, organic acids and similar substances.

Very sensitive areas are treated separately, such as cleaning and disinfection of milking equipment and cow teats, our product developement as well as company processes, have reached a very high level in.The wash-active substances contained in our products meant for this sector comply with the requirements of the Detergents Regulation (EC) no. 648/2004 with regard to their bio-degradability.

With the Calvatis bio-compliant logo you can quickly and safely identify suitable products for organic farming according to EU directives.

The products meet the requirements for use in organic farming in accordance with the regulations EC 834/2007 and EC 889/2008. All types of detergents and disinfectants are permitted for the cleaning and disinfection of milking equipment and cow teats.

Thorough stable hygiene provides excellent prevention, thereby reducing antibiotic use. Depending on the product, proof of efficacy according to DVG guidelines and/or European standards such as EN 14349.Important points in stable hygiene, which must always be respected, are clean work clothes, the wearing of milking gloves as well as the washing and disinfecting of the hands before and after milking. We are happy to help you to protect yourself and your stock.For the requirements of the 16th AMG amendment (reduction of antibiotic use in ag-riculture) your hygiene management is of particular importance. In extensive laboratory tests, the corrosion behaviour of significant product concentrations of those disinfectants listed below was investigated. Balanced metal plates were previously inserted into the solution and taken out again after a defined time. The visual impression and the weight loss provide information whether or not the disinfectant causes damage to the material.Since animal cages are much more often subject to disinfection procedures compared to conventio-nal stables we have made diffrent expertises.

The product is especially suitable for keeping of cows, calves, pigs, horses, sheep and poultry. calgosec Stalleinstreu absorbs humidity and has a pleasant odour, improves the housing climate and relieves the respiratory tract of animals. calgosec Stalleinstreu binds manure without lump formation. Lye down areas remain dry and comfortable. The dry environment supports claw and hoof health and improves udder health. EquipmentProper cleaning of the piping maintains the water quality leading to an adequate water intake for the animals.

The health conditions, growth and performance of animals are mainly depent on drinking water supply.Dirt in pipelines worsens the water quality and leads to a lower supply of water and undersupplies the water intake of the animals. If deposits have formed in the pipes, these are ideal nesting and breeding places for germs, algae and biofilms.Sometimes pipes are almost blocked, heavily contaminated therefore, whereas the water looks clean at first sight.

Rinse after 60 minutes.The contamination of the water is halted for 20 hours when rinsing. the picture on the right shows what was ejected at this

time.

Between 20 and 25 hours, the rinse water looked like this.

After 26 hours the rinsing was stopped. The water was clear and the pipes were

clean!
