SPECIAL MASS WITH ARCHBISHOP HEBDA
Join us for a special Pentecost Mass with Archbishop Hebda
Saturday, May 19 at 6 pm There will be inspirational Praise and Worship music led by singer and songwriter, Alex Schindler. You will
hear speaking in tongues and much praise and thanksgiving. St. Williams will still have its 4 pm liturgy but the additional Mass later in the evening will be led by Archbishop Hebda. Other priests will be concelebrating. This will be a special way to bring to celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit and the Birthday of the Church. WEAR RED! A reception will follow the Mass in Keefe Hall. Invite friends and family. All are welcome. Event sponsored by the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Office. For additional question, call 763-571-5314 or call Sara at 651-366-1107.
FUNERAL MINISTRY: Thanks to ALL who have generously given their time to help with the Funeral Ministry. If you are missing a bowl or cake pan from your cupboard, please check Keefe Hall Kitchen. Thanks again, Jane Wisniewski
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS NEWS
PENTECOST GERANIUMS Last year the geraniums you brought for Pentecost helped make the gardens beautiful all summer. We are again requesting geraniums in “firey” colors to celebrate the day. They can be brought with you to the weekend masses and placed among the other flowers.
Many thanks, The Environment Commitee
The Knights held a meeting on April 19th with guest speaker Sarah Ashmore telling us about her 2 years of service with Net Ministries.
The next meeting will be held on May 17 with social time starting at 6 pm. The guest speaker will relate her experience living on the streets in Washington, DC. PRAY FOR THE UNBORN The Knights of Columbus has taken action to replace the original plaque in the Memorial to the Unborn on the West side of the convent at Immaculate Conception. The original after many years became non legible. It was replaced with a granite memorial. There will be a blessing ceremony on Thursday, May 17, during a meeting which will start at 6 pm. All parishioners are invited to attend. Please call 763.789.8362 if you plan to attend and join us for dinner.

Weeding & Clean Up Ministry
Outreach Ministry May is Respect Life Month. Following the Mother’s Day May 13th Baby Shower collection for Northside Pregnancy Options/Abria , the collection for that organization will continue until the end of May. A list of requested items is available in the Gathering Space collection crib and at church entrances. Also nonperishable food items for SACA are always needed and can be left in the Gathering Space blue collection barrel or dropped off at the Ad Center during the week. Respect Life-Action Steps The Catholic Church proclaims that all human life from conception to natural death is sacred and must be protected. What are some ways to put this key teaching into practice? Pray for an end to things that threaten and demean human life-abortion, euthanasia, assisted suicide, the death penalty, war, discrimination, economic injustice and poverty. Attend a pro-life march or a walk for peace. Donate to or volunteer with an organization that helps needy families and children. Volunteer at a nursing home or hospice. Advocate with lawmakers for public policies that support and protect all human life. Learn more by going to the US Conference of Catholic Bishops website at www.usccb.org/about/pro-life-activities. Families Moving Forward St. William will welcome Families Moving Forward guests the week of June 3rd and volunteers are needed for several tasks. If you can help, please sign-up in the Gathering Space after Mass. There will be someone there to answer questions.
