Introduction to Calculus: Maths in Focus Preliminary Course (Margaret

Grove): Chapter 8 in both textbooks

Locus and the Parabola: Maths in Focus Preliminary Course (Margaret

Grove): Chapter 10 Mathematics textbook and Chapter 11 in the Extension

textbook

Geometry 2: Maths in Focus HSC Course (Margaret Grove):

Chapter 1 in both textbooks

FORMAT 2 x 25 mark questions (Calculus & Locus) PLUS 1 x 10 mark question

(Geometry) – TOTAL 60 marks

Full working required – 90 minutes + 5 minutes reading

You can bring with you ONE A4 double sided page of notes

MARKING

CRITERIA

The marking scheme will be printed on the paper.

Marks will be awarded for the accuracy of your work, working and/or

reasoning, appropriate use of diagrams and problem solving skills.
