Christmas Once More by Naomi I Parks
Again, as in the years gone by, It’s Christmastime once more; With trees and lights and holly, And wreaths upon the doors; With packages all gaily wrapped, And secrets whisperings, The sound of happy laughter, The joy that Christmas brings. The carols of the Yuletide, Stories told by firelight; The twinkling stars above us Like myriad candlelight; The whiteness of the snowflakes Softly drifting through the air; The warmth of friends and love ones Round about us everywhere. The ringing of the church bells, The folks who kneel and pray, Remembering the Christ Child Born on this Christmas Day; The Star the wise men followed, Their presents to bestow, The message of the angels To shepherds there below. Again, as in the years gone by, It’s Christmastime once amore. Come, let us go and worship The Christ Child we adore, That his peace and love may ever Within our glad hearts ring, That we may share with others The Joy that Christmas brings.

From Our As I write this, some parts of Pennsylvania and other states have experienced snow. In a countryside setting-woods, a pond, a field and a farmhouse-denote an artist’s interpretation of beauty. However, that same snow, covering up roads and ice becomes a setting of danger as we attempt to go from one place to another. The weather person predicts the weather that is coming by using their knowledge and instruments at hand. Un-like the Biblical prophets of old, the weather prediction is not always accurate! According to weather predic-tions, we may plan our day or work schedule so that when it is wrong, we must have a back-up plan. We certainly must praise God that the prophecy He provides has faithfully told the present and future of His Son saving us from our sins. Luke 1:30-33 Life is like the scenarios of winter! It’s a picture of the country setting with its sense of tranquility and peace accented with the white cleansing of the snow. In con-trast, the roads upon which we travel are dangerous and when they are covered by snow, it only masks what lies below-SIN! When our lives are focused on Christ we have the peace we seek! And when our lives are focused on the dan-gerous roads of life-SIN-we can miss the beauty and promise of eternity with Christ! Christmas is about the gift of Christ in a broken world! Cover your life with the purity (snow) of His Word for you! May the season of the birth of Christ be a blessing and a life changer for you and your family. Wishing you and yours a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year. Pastor Eddie & Cheryl Yours In Christ, Pastor Eddie

Youth Sunday School (Junior & Senior High)
Teachers: Barbara Heilman and Kirk Wisler The Teen Sunday School Class continues to study Biblical lessons and apply them to their daily lives. One of the major resources for the content of the lessons is a website specif-ically for teen lessons. The seasons of the church calendar are reviewed and discussed as they occur. A weekly objective is for the students to use the Bible to locate books and chapters appropriate for the day’s lessons. Students are encouraged to take turns read-ing aloud. Discussion is held. Students also take turns each week to close the class in prayer.
Double Ring Class (Adults) Teacher: Leo H. Walters
This class bases the weekly presentations on a quarterly lesson plan developed by the Cokesbury Publishing Company. There are four different teachers that present the lessons on a rotating basis. Our goal is to provide insight on a scriptur-al topic while exploring ways that we can incorpo-rate the teaching into our daily lives. A study guide is provided for each attendee.

“Wish for Christmas” - When a high school senior finds out from her parents that she must miss the town’s winter dance in order to attend church, she successfully wishes their faith away, bringing disastrous consequences to their family and community. To restore their faith, she is led through a series of Christmas adventures that change her heart and those around her. “The Christmas Miracle” - A cranky woodcarver comes to the aid of a widow and her young son when a treasured wooden nativity set given to the boy by his late father is lost. As the craftsman works on replacing the piece, though, his young client grows more and more demanding, and tensions between all three escalate in this drama of love, loss, and redemption.
