June is the month in which the Church particularly honors the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus began with the piercing of his heart after his death on Calvary. This short prayer can be offered many times a day, “Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.”

I apologize to the four people who attended the Parish Pastoral Council at St. Patrick a week ago. I needed to send myself a reminder and I forgot. It made me see, too, how some of you need to carry a phone that has my number in it. We will try again. Let us persevere in faith and joy.

Thank you and God bless you for your contributions to last week’s second collection for our parish expenses. Your contributions help us make some headway to make payroll and bills, some of which have fallen in arrears.

Happy Fathers Day to all our fathers, living and deceased.

God bless us with the ability to be living temples of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Thank you for our baptism, Lord.

With love, prayers, and gratitude,

Father Bob Edwards

Father Bob’s Corner .

Dear Friends, Today’s Gospel (John 16:12-15)

passage mentions Jesus and presents him talking about the Holy Spirit and about his Father. The Most Holy Trinity is spoken of in the four verses of the Gospel. Jesus is speaking about how the Holy Spirit will tell, guide, speak, declare, and glorify. The Holy Spirit leads us to Jesus who takes us to the Father. We are blessed to develop our relationships with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The closing Mass of 75th

Anniversary of the Diocese of Youngstown was a beautiful experience. It was held on the Feast of St. Columba, on the Feast of Pentecost and gave us the opportunity to honor Bishop Murry on the occasion of his 40

th priestly anniversary.

Bishop Murry attended the June meeting of Assembly of Bishops from Tuesday to Thursday in Baltimore. I heard that he is then going on to Slovakia for the ordination to priesthood of Simon Mino for our diocese.
