PRAYERS FOR THE SICK
Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem
“Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the
name of the Lord!”
Mark 11:9
Did You Know?
What does “Hosanna” mean?
We read in today’s gospel of the people of Jerusalem singing praise at Jesus’ coming and shouting Hosanna. Hosanna is often thought as being a declaration of praise, similar to “hallelujah”, but it’s a plea for salva-tion. The Hebrew words yasha means to deliver or to save and anna means to beg. Combine those two words into an English form and you have hosanna, which means “I beg you to save!” or “Please deliver us!”
Reflecting on Palm Sunday, we realize that the crowds in Jerusalem were essentially shouting cries of salvation, recognizing Jesus as their Messiah, come to deliver them, not knowing that within a week he would accomplish his mission.

Easter Flowers
The response for Easter Memorial Flowers has been outstanding. As we pray together for the loved ones of our parish family, we are reminded how blessed we are to have the support of one another as one Church.
Memorial flowers will be available to take home the week of April 16
th until
4 pm and after the weekend Masses.
Since these flowers are a beautiful reminder for the Church to pray for your loved ones, please do not pick-up your flowers until after April 16

Be sure you take the flowers that are labeled with your name.
Thank you!
Adoration March 29
th through March 30
th
Adoration is a personal invitation to you from Jesus. The Eucharist is the center of our faith so let us be generous with our time in going to meet with Jesus during Holy Week. He seeks for us to know him deeper by doing more than just going to Mass on Sundays.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be available in the St. Paul Room day and night beginning at 7:00 pm on Holy Thursday until 3:00 pm on Good Friday.
"A thousand years of enjoying human glory is not worth even an hour spent in sweetly communing with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament."
- Padre Pio
Well Done Mr. Ahrens
Congratulation to our very own Scott Ahrens who teaches Social Science at our Parish School. Scott was nominated and won the “Excellence in Education Award” from KKNU and NWCCU. This award is presented to people making positive differences in our school communities. Again congratulations, Scott, for your dedication to our students, our school, and our community.
School Appreciation
The students and staff of St. Paul Parish School wish to extend our sincere appreciation to the parishioners of St. Paul Church for your support of our efforts for Project Starfish, especially for the Spaghetti Dinner and Art Auction last Thursday evening.
442 dinner guests were served and $3,455.00 was raised in ticket sales and art auction purchases. Additionally, dinner guests pledged $1,000.00 for the Bird-A-Thon.
Thank you for joining with us in our efforts for Project Starfish!
