Spiritual Communion
During this time when we cannot go to Mass, we can still unite
ourselves to the Eucharist through making a Spiritual
Communion. By making an Act of Spiritual Communion, we
express our faith in Christ’s Real Presence in the Eucharist and
ask Him to unite Himself with us. Here is the Act of Spiritual
Communion written by St. Alphonsus de Liquori:

My Jesus, I believe that You are in the Blessed Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I long for You in my soul.
Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least
Spiritually into my heart. As though You have already come,
I embrace You and unite myself entirely to You; never permit
me to be separated from You. Amen
Bereavement Support Group
While this confinement period is in effect, plans cannot be
make for our next meeting. It is safe to say we will not be
completing this current Spring 2020 session. Please use the
Leader Contact List to call us if you would like to talk. The
Church is open during regular business hours for you to come
and sit, reflect, pray. Please maintain 6 feet social distancing,
refrain from visits if there are 10 or more people present, and/or
if you are coughing, have a fever, or feel unwell. There are
books set up in the entryway for you to look at and borrow if
you would like to do some reading. I will send an update as
soon as we are able to safely meet again.

PARISH FAMILY
AVAILABLE DURING
PANDEMIC

If you or someone you know is
struggling with being isolated or
are unable to get out to go to the
market or pharmacy during this difficult time, please know there
is help available. If you are experiencing food shortages, there
are food donations available. I can provide resources and food
pantry information if that is appropriate. If you are feeling
lonely and would like to hear a friendly voice, know we are here
to provide company and friendship, over the phone for now, and
will maintain social distancing. We have grocery shoppers and
errand helpers at St. Mary’s to assist you . This is held
confidential, and we will not enter your home. Arrangements for
deliveries will be made with you. Please know you are not truly
alone, and our parish family will do what is necessary to safely
help you during these difficult weeks.

“Wachusett Food Pantry”
The Wachusett Food Pantry (WFP) is a nonprofit,
nondenominational, volunteer organization founded in January
1995 after a careful needs assessment of the Wachusett area. The
pantry is a freeofcharge, emergency, monthly food program
offering 35 days of meals to any family in Holden, Paxton,
Princeton, Rutland, or Sterling with either a shortterm or
longterm need.
IN CASE YOU NEED A LITTLE
SOMETHING……
The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own
sheep by name and leads them. ... He goes
before them, and the sheep follow him, for they
know his voice. (Jn 10:14, 34) Jesus is our
Shepherd. He calls us by name and leads us in the
paths that we should follow. As His sheep, we
ought to be able to hear His voice….
Maybe He is calling you to do something to help someone
who is in need. If this is the case, I'd bet that you already
know who that someone is.
Maybe He is calling you to stop living in the past. Stop reliving
the hurts. Stop making excuses for why you do what you do today.
Start over today.
Maybe He is urging you to ask for help from someone else. It
could be that in your pride you are unwilling to ask for assistance.
You are waing . . . hoping . . .someone noces.
Maybe He calls you to some bold acon . . . .to do something,
give something, begin something.
Maybe He is calling you to go and tell someone else about the
one who came to die in our place.
You may already have a good idea of what God wants you to do. It
is likely that God has made it clear through the whispers of His
Spirit. Are you listening?
