quiet place and rest. Mk 6:31
As we sit in silence before the Lord, we are irradi-
ated by His Eucharistic presence. We all need
“radiation therapy”— and to receive it, we only
need to be present, just as in sunbathing we only
need to be present to the ultra-violet radiation of the
sun.
Especially in our age, which is so heavily bombard-
ed with words– reading materials, radio, audio
tapes, videos, and TV– we all need times to listen to
the Lord, who speaks in a very special language
called silence. How beautifully St. Maria Faustina describes her
long, silent “talks” with the Lord:
Silence is so powerful a language that it reaches the throne of the living God. Silence is His
language, though secret, yet living and powerful.
In the Garden of Gethsemani, before His cruci-fixion, Jesus asked His Apostles, “ Could you not
keep watch with me for one hour?” Spending one hour with Jesus thus became a tradition in
the Church.
Hours that need an honor guard are; Sunday 5 a.m., 2 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m., 9 p.m. Monday 5 p.m. Tuesday 4 p.m., 8 p.m., 9 a.m., 10 a.m. Wednesday 6 a.m., Noon , 7 p.m., 9 p.m., 10 p.m. Thursday 7 a.m., Noon , 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 9 p.m., 10 p.m. Friday 7 a.m., Noon , 2 p.m., 10 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m., 7p.m., 8 p.m., 9 p.m., 10 p.m.

5:10p.m. as we consecrate ourselves to the
Sacred Heart of Jesus, pray the glorious mysteries of the Holy Rosary, and recite the chaplet of Divine
Mercy for our loved ones and all the souls in purgatory.
Every First Friday of the month we will begin Devotions to the Sacred Heart of Jesus at 5:30 p.m.
Sixth Sunday of Paschal Season
In today’s Gospel, Jesus says to us, “ This is my
commandment: love one another as I have loved
you…. You are my friends if you do what I
command you.”

Brick Garden We are continuing to take brick orders. This is a wonderful way to pay honor to someone you love or to be remembered as a part of St. Mary history for years to come.
