"This is how it is with the kingdom of God; it is as if a man were to scatter seed on the land. Of its own accord the land yields fruit, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. And when the
grain is ripe, he wields the sickle at once, for the harvest has come." - Mk 4:26, 28-29

St. Mary’s Academy News
PHYS ED NEWS Physical Education students in grades 3-6 have been learning about track events as well as field events
in the sport of Track & Field. We have identified sprinting events and have practiced a sprinters
start. We have also practiced baton passing in relay racing using visual passes. The field event of shot
put was simulated by using rhino skin balls for safety while still emphasizing technique in this event.
This unit is always a student favorite as we race to the end of the school year.
Congratulations to all of the St. Mary’s Academy graduates!
May God bless you as you begin the next phase of your academic career. We are proud of all of you and will miss you! Good luck!

Graduation Prayer Dear God,
those whom you called to do great things for you were often tested first.
You did so, not to frustrate them, but to bring out what you saw as the best in them.
Joseph was raised from slavery to royalty, and you gave him grace to forgive when he'd been wronged.
Solomon was raised from prince to king, and you granted him wisdom to govern his people.
Jeremiah was raised from youth to prophet, and you gave him courage to proclaim your truth.
Today begins a new chapter in the lives of these graduates. Give them the wisdom to make wise decisions,
just as you gave your servants guidance in ages past. Amen.
We will be making sandwiches for the Catholic Charities Men’s Shelter in our Academy cafeteria on Friday, June 22nd at 10:00am. Please park in the back park-ing lot and enter through the double doors of the Academy. Anyone interested in helping can join this team.
ATTENTION PARENTS: YOUR CHILD’S SAFETY IS IMPORTANT TO US
If your child needs to use the restroom during Mass, please accompany him or her. No child should be left to wander around by themselves. At St. Mary’s, we are continually working toward providing a safe environ-
ment for everyone. Thanks for your help!

Parish Directory Father’s Day Blessing
Let us pray...
Gracious God and Father, our first father,
You are the One who has brought us to life in this world you created.
You created us and everything around us. We turned away from you
and only after disappointing you did we return your love.
Look with favor on our earthly fathers. They helped create us in your image. We have disappointed them,
but have come to realize just how important they are to us.
Bless all fathers with comfort and health. We bring all their needs to you
and ask for strength so they may live worthy lives.
We ask all this in the name of your Son, our model of what it means to reverence our fathers.
In Christ's name. Amen.
