ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH MARION, OHIO

We want to thank all of the St. Mary Parishioners who have contributed to this year’s Appeal!! WE have surpassed our parish goal of $74,508.00 by over $2,000.00! We thank God for these blessings and for the generosity of over 400 of our parishioners!

We can still accept pledges from any parishioner who has not yet given but would like to do so. All monies collected beyond our parish goal are returned directly to St. Mary, Marion. This is a big support for our Parish and for our Diocese. Envelopes remain in Church and at the parish office during business hours. Pledges can be paid now and through March 2015.

We thank you for your generous support!

In order to protect nature, it is not enough to intervene with economic incentives or deterrents. The decisive issue is the overall moral tenor of society. If there is a lack of respect for the right to life and to a natural death, if human conception, gestation and birth are made artificial, if human embryos are sacrificed to research, the conscience of society ends up losing the concept of human ecology and, along with it, that of environmental ecology. It is contradictory to insist that future generations respect the natural environment when our educational systems and laws do not help them to respect themselves. ~ Emeritus Pope Benedict XVI, Charity in Truth

(Caritas in Veritate), 51 (2009)
