Year 2 : Your daughter’s teacher is Miss Pares and the

Teaching Assistant is Mrs Newall

SCHOOL DAY

Timetable Please see attached your daughter’s class timetable.

Swimming, Speech and Drama and Violin lessons

are all included within the curriculum.

Year 2 PE days Monday and Thursday

Friday (swimming)

Drop off From 8.00am.

Registration is at 8.30am.

Collection Between 3.30 – 4.00pm.

Breakfast Club (7.30 – 8.00am) is an optional extra booked through

the school website.

Venue: The Upper Prep Dining Room

The After School Club (available between 4.00- 6.00pm) is an optional

extra booked through the school website.

Venue: 3.30 – 3.55pm The Lower Prep Hall

4.00 – 4.20pm The Upper Prep Dining Room

4.20 – 5.00pm *The After School Club Room

(upstairs in Upper Prep)

5.00 – 6.00pm *The Upper Prep Hall

*If the weather is good the children may play outside

in the Upper Prep playground

Co-Curricular Activities Please see the Co-Curricular booklet produced

each term.

Reading Reading Record book – Please write in this every

time you hear your daughter read. It is also used for

you and the teacher to communicate anything

pertinent.

UNIFORM

School bag The book folder is available from our uniform shop

DJ Uniforms. Please check this bag every day.

Uniform September – summer or winter uniform may be worn

October – April – winter uniform to be worn

April – July – summer uniform to be worn (once the

weather is warm enough)

Jewellery – no jewellery to be worn at school.

If religious jewellery must be worn, for safety

reasons, it should be removed or in the case of

bangles and necklaces taped for PE lessons. No

jewellery to be worn in swimming lessons.

COMMUNICATION

Communication with your daughter’s teacher is best at the end of the

day for a quick chat. If you wish for a longer talk,

please organise an appointment through the

Preparatory School Office.

Full academic reports Available through the school website (using your

parent portal login) at the end of the Autumn and

Summer Terms.

Letters Emailed out on Fridays. In exceptional circumstances

a hard copy will be sent out.

Newsletter The Prep School Newsletter is available in the

Preparatory School area on the school website every

Friday. Every class contributes articles and photos

each week, plus there is useful information and dates

about forthcoming events. This is the most up to date

communication and should be referred to each week.

Parents Evenings Appointments via a sign-up sheet (available in the

Lower prep Entrance Hall) in October and

February/March.
